I'm new to MB so my only story it's when a random player saw struggle, he challenged me but instead of attacking he started teaching me the basics and how to win a duel, he turned into my master and I actually improved with his teaching, eventually he had to leave, I'll never forget him.

I don't have a grandiose story, but I always enjoy when I'm a clone or ARC that the other clones and ARCs tend to stick together as a squad. The Jedi/wookie/soldier plebs can all charge down the main meatgrinder while me n the clone bois flank around the side with our little special ops

I've got a bit of a story . I remember one time I thought I'd reached a limit in terms of dueling cause I couldnt find anyone who could beat me, I'd be dominating duel servers for hours and just feel bored about it, praying to god someone would get on and give me a real fight. Until one day in open I run into roguewookie, who I've seen before but only as gunner and never really dueled. Using blue, he did like a full 6-7 hit combo on me within in a quarter of a second and it was like I could feel things again, the rush of exhilaration in finding another wall for you rise up and challenge and try to surpass. Since then I've met dozens of players who can kick my ass and I have no clue how I got so unlucky with being unable to find someone rly good for so long. But It was to the point where I was thinking of dropping the game because of feeling I plateaued and there was no more fun dueling to be had. But I think that highlights one of my favorite parts of mb2, is how you can go so long without seeing certain things and then all of a sudden theyre thrown right at ur face. I have nearly 3000 hours in mb2 and its the only game where I can feel like I know all there is to know and still learn something new everytime I get on to play. The adrenline rush of finding someone better than me is amazing, the feeling of knowing I've found yet another wall to climb and then the satisfaction I get when I finally manage to start getting W's against them. I've gotten leagues better than I was at when I thought I had reached my limit, and thats a beautiful thing I think. It's a game of constant discovery and its insanely rewarding if you keep at it.

The thing I like about Movie Battles is how small the player-base is. This may seem like a bad thing to some, but to me it means that everyone knows each other. It's like Black Mesa RP on GMOD. Just a tightly knit community of mostly civil gamers. Like, I've only been playing for less than a year, but I've still dueled at least half the dudes in this video, including Korean Aimbotter (who kicked my butt every time we dueled, except one occasion in which I just got really lucky and stabbed him in the side).

I used to be heavily involved with a couple of RP servers back in the day, such as The RPG Zone. Role-Playing itself was kind of cringe looking back on it all and I certainly spent a lot of time online in HS when I probably should have been doing something else. There were also a lot of players with edge-boy characters and drama every now and then. However, that last bit at the end where you mentioned meeting these seemingly random yet interesting people doing weird epic Star Wars / Anime battles was exactly what kept me around the RP servers, to capture that feeling again like I was doing some sort of cool Star Wars duel.

And I think my best and funny moment on MBII was when for like two weeks I was in a community called sith mauraders and everyday during those two weeks I’d get on and train with the leader, just three people forgot the other guy but the leader his name was darth malgus, and at the two week mark he got exposed for using a pb script cheat and he never got on again, deleted the server and never heard from him again. Kinda funny to me how I trained with someone who knew he couldn’t lose

This is not really a story but still something to share. This game is my portal to 10+ years ago when video games felt like a big shared community where people enjoyed their hobby together unlike today where it mostly feels like small isolated communities and the competitive gaming which has grown to be a bigger and bigger cancer. Due to this games age and community size it experiences something that no other modern day game can unfortunately. As such I love it even after long streaks of not playing it.

I remember being a very good duelist, well jedi/sith in general really, I was a top scoring player almost always on every server I joined but duels were that something special for me, to be able to defeat everyone of the server felt incredible, when I played on a private server with my friends I would usually have 2-3 fewer players in my team to offset the balance and make it more fair, it was truly the greatest thing I had ever going on in my life and it went only downhill from there, it was around B18 version I think, I see the combat changed A LOT since then, anyway then one day I met a guy who was just... insane with a lightsaber. I think he was a Polish player, his name was simply 000000 but he won every single fight against me, I just couldn't take him, I swear we were fighting for like three hours straight and I couldn't win once, he eventually just had to leave and I never seen him again. He still lives rent free in my head despite it taking place years ago and me no longer even playing Mb2.

I never played MB2 in public servers. I played a lot of Jedi Academy vanilla in multiplayer, but discovered MB2 like two years ago. Since then, everytime I'm in a discord about another game (GTA O, Darktide, Factorio...) and we're chilling late at night not knowing what to do, I send some clips I recorded with some friends for kicks and giggle. Everytime, someone asks "Wow, never knew about this game. What is it?" And then, starts the spiraling "It's like 5 euros on this website if you wanna try, I have my server ready to boot." Then, I stream the first duels where I make the guy learn the basics, most people in the call watch, and end up buying the game when we start to duel for real. And it's always a strong feeling to know you are the master, you are the one who can't be taken down. You are the one who can 2 or even 3v1, perfectly knowing this is hard af against real players, but against those padawans? You can do it. And then, sometimes, one of them become strong enough and like the game enough to go on public. And when we rematch, well, the feeling of being so proud at your old padawan who became a jedi knight is always good. And then you remember. You trained melee, too. They didn't. They can sometimes match you when you play with none or few block meter thingy, but they don't know anything about the melee system. They don't know you can switch and quickly kick or do a grab. And they fall for it everytime. I like this game. I should prolly take like a week to spam it in public and try to end up being way better than I am. But, if I do, everytime I'll play against newbies, I'll absolutely shred them and their hopes to, one day, take me down. That's not how I can make them like this game. So, I end up staying at my level and encouraging them, once we are around the same level, to continue their adventures in the public servers. Always a pleasure to listen to them telling their most recent adventures with a passionate voice. Always a proud moment. God, I love this mod.

@@Wyte_Knight Introducing new players to MB2 is fun over all, seeing how they use certain weapons for the first time and how they fail with them if they have some kind of specific mechanic, like the wrist laser, they also do the silliest of things. MB2 is just special. And yeah, I played a lot of 1.00, way more than 1.01, unpatched version of the game just felt more... special, smaller community, people knowing each other like neighbors, and everytime a new glitch or command was discovered was like Christmas, because "how in the heckin' hell did you make THAT work on 1.00???" JKA is definitely the greatest Star Wars multiplayer dueling game there is, no matter the version or mod, even silly things like Ninja Mod are fun as hell
