This game is pure enjoyment for the eyes and you just make it that much better! The bishop on the floor like this made me laugh out loud and the tiramisu after pasta analogy was just the cherry on the cake for a wonderful video.

when people say how many moves were in a chess game, does it mean the total amount of moves? or how many moves each player made?
@bindusharma826
@bindusharma826 Жыл бұрын
I don't think anyone asks for total moves instead asks how many turns were played. A 'turn' happens after the white gets to move again for example lets say white played e4 and black played e5 , now it's White's move to play. Each of this cycle counts as 1 turn. So when both white have played 1 move and white gets the chance to play again a new turn starts.

Honestly when rook took knight ... the best thing for opponent to do was push knights and force white to take first. They likely still lost ... but that to me was the best chance around that scenario

Hey Chessnerd, I'm wondering, why do you refer to black and white as plural?Your the only person I watch who refers to them in plural and not singular.
@thechessnerd
@thechessnerd Жыл бұрын
I switch from one to the other. I don’t know, sometimes I refer to “the white pieces” which is “the sum of the pieces” or the “army” so to speak. Other times I refer to the player playing a side, in which I would say it singular. Again, I may be grammatically wrong and am no expert on language specific to singular/plural chess :)
@kospiert676
@kospiert676 Жыл бұрын
i think when he's saying "Black's pieces" he's referring to the black player pieces and not saying it as it is plural for black (sorry for my bad english but i guess it delivers)
