Brilliant idea for the market lettuce. They last longer in the ground than in a bag in the fridge! Also my experience with purple chives is that they are fast spreaders, I am continually thinning mine out. I also freeze mine usually in long strands, rolled in parchment paper, then foil. I open one end and chop what I need.

Our Kitchen work surfaces are all male from Science work benches. All the main surfaces have been sanded down and we used yacht varnish to protect them. However underneath we still have the graffiti, telling us what the pupils felt about their teachers!!!

I love that you can still see some of the graffiti. If we were using it in the kitchen I would definitely do the same.
