Season 3 would have been the perfect transition for him going full on Punisher. Season 1 was him getting the answer to his family murders, Season 2 was him tying up loose ends (killing Russo) and realizing what he truly is, with no possible way of having a normal life anymore. Season 3 would be the Punisher, on his own mission. I just hope Micro comes back if they decided to continue the series (maybe during The Blip, Micro's family get dusted, he would probably be looking for Frank again), they have such a great chemistry

I love Frank Castle as a character. Frank eventually begins to admit. He loved killing sick criminals. It made him actually feel better that he was taking out horrible people, it gave him a feeling of redemption. But also, deep down, he loved killing. And he was good at it. Frank Castle is ultimately not a good individual, he is, in my opinion. One of thee top Anti-Hero entities in comic history.

When he said that in the daredevil episode, that was to sway the jury for a guilty verdict. By the end he saw himself as the only one who could do it not as a form of enjoyment. The reason that he goes to such a length is to enact "appropriate punishment", he doesn't enjoy it he even admitted that to those closest to him - but if the world sees him as one who takes pleasure in it they fear him more.

@@HPDeskjet-jo1bo no actually, I think he's talking about a different point in Frank's arc, which is in the end of Punisher season 1, way after DD season 2. It's when he was being tortured and began hallucinating his wife. His wife keeps telling him to come home, but Frank says that he IS home, meaning that at that point, he admits to himself that he no longer feels at home with having a normal life and a family like he did before, now he feels home with doing what he does, punishing and murdering criminals, that became his normal life now, to the point where he'd rather stay there than have a normal life, which he tried, several times, but his life just keeps pulling him back to war to the point where he just got too comfortable with it. It was also forshadowed in the beginning of the season when Curtis mentioned the tragedy of soldiers "being in the hole for too long that it starts to feel like home". Although this doesn't mean he "enjoys" it though (that's actually Daredevil's character), this just means that Frank really feels the need to do what he does, like it's his life purpose now, not just doing it purely for vengeance anymore, it really just became his sick and twisted idea of justice

The timing of the shots during the flashbacks to his deployment, the build up for when Jigsaw first sees him around 5:55, there's so many dude. Edit: and I'm here for all of it. Basically this is what helps get my blood moving faster before work every day. I start at 5:55 lol love the rest of the video but something about him calling Jigsaw's name out gets me every single damn time.

I mean once he becomes doom slayer he is a lot more lets say large than he used to be though, so yeah Berenthal hasn't ever been large enough to be doom slayer but I don't know too many built right for that role anyway. Back when Max Comics did their Punisher run there was one that took place during Frank's time in Vietnam. Even then he was gruff and had his own sense of justice (he kills a soldier for raping a local, I think). During the final battle at the firebase Frank's stuck in a trench fighting off Viet Cong, and I'm not sure but earlier in the story a dark voice speaks to Frank offering to help if he ever needs it, all he needs to do is say 'yes' - it's at this moment when he's being overrun that the voice calmly reappears and asks if Frank wants it's help and he says 'yes'. Cut to a few panels later when reinforcements appear, the base is destroyed, everyone's dead except Castle - he's all sorts of bloody and horrible looking but alive. Then, cut to him coming home and meeting his family at the airport - as he takes a moment to regard his family the voice he'd heard comes back saying something to the tune of: "Hey Frank. Glad to see you made it. Remember that cost I mentioned? Yeah. That's it." Referencing the eventual murder of his family via local mafia violence during a picnic. Watching the Punisher show definitely gives off a vibe that someone, either read/used as source material this series of comics from Max. The one bit where Frank pulls the razor out of his arm is also a scene in the comics when he's captured by Russians (the comics take place in the late 80s I believe.). Edit: Also, I'd love to see them do a Max Comics version of Nick Fury, too. A gritty, violence prone badass MCU version would be pretty cool I think. Edit2 : I realize that I never commented in relation to the video, I'm such a fool. GREAT EDITING! I loved every minute of it.
