According to legend, a group of extraterrestrial beings had descended upon the land of Mesopotamia, intent on enslaving the people and claiming the planet for their own. Enki, Ninhursag, Inanna, and Nergal knew that they had to act quickly to stop the invasion and save their people.

I love this narration. But just like ALL other narratives, it only talks about the Adam ,Eve , Abel and Cain story. Noone talks about the other people that Cain found after he fled the murder scene. Other Gods had created other humans/people or human like creatures. but that reality is never spoken of. One and only one explanation is offered and it is ALWAYS full of errors and holes.

Thus the "Showering down a rain of eruptions" sounds more like meteorites hiting earth , highly doubt any spaceships but possibly hot air balloons or deridgebles may be more likley , yet when finding out south America (atlantis) was also affected they came back to wait it out in mesopotamia? If my theory is right the garden.of eden story would imply that there were some type of human left on earth that new the hole story of mankind and was trying to control the situation so it didn't happen again. But as was before will be again in the beginning we were given freewill and that is what the giver of light told Adam and eve even one of the last types of human the almighty could not change that.
