These boys are all the same. Me I just send him plenty message or else na to dey slow me. That wrapper thing no dey work. Even when I borrowed my mum's nightwear I still collet. Na, you can bathe her with directions only, no touching. We stop bathing them once they can wipe after toilet. I just stand and point out areas of concentration. Scrub your nose, scrub your elbows, between your toes, between your legs etc. I love Feranmi's cofidence.

As per bathing or not by daddy vs self awareness of feranmi... I think they are two different things. A dad bathing a girl child is usually seen by the girl child as daddy helping me to wash and be clean until I can do it myself. It is necessary and it's no big deal if either mummy or daddy does it. However, when it comes to dressing or undressing, it is something she can do and has control over and has an enabling environment to be herself, so she would exercise that choice of preferred privacy if is she a child with a tendency to be like so at a young age. So, yeah, in the case of please daddy I want my privacy and mummy please don't undress me in public.. It may just be that she is ready to exercise her preference to privacy early. Once, she feels she's ready to bath/wash herself she will tell you, then daddy can stop then, until then.. I personally think it is okay until age 7/8 maxxxxx. I come in peace.. 😂

If she is already becoming conscious please allow her to begin to have her privacy oh. If she doesn't get that she may begin to feel it's nothing and it could be dangerous. It's even so good that she is already becoming self conscious some children still have to be thoroughly taught so that 'bad' males will not take advantage of them. One will think she will be different with how she's close to her Dad.

100% agree with you Mr Emma. Children develop self consciousness, especially about their private areas from 3 upwards. I think it’s easy to normalise dad washing her, but in the long run she could believe it’s acceptable for every man to touch, until she can distinguish what is right and wrong. Children have been taught to cover their bodies, so changing her in front of her friends, would impact her self esteem and what he feels like ‘private’ is now exposed to everyone, and to make matters worse it was done by her mum (I’m not bashing you guys please xx). These are just psychological effects on a child. I think she should be bathed by her mum, especially as dad feels awkward too. You guys are doing an amazing job and thought to share my take on it xx Just my opinion x
