When the Kalahari comes back to life

In the vast arid expanses of the Kalahari, the Tsouilou Nature Reserve is being reborn thanks to an ambitious ecological restoration project. Once devastated by hunting and intensive livestock farming, this South African land is now regaining its former splendor.
From majestic elands to elusive pangolins, lions and wild dogs, more than 70 species of mammals and 240 species of birds are reinvesting these protected areas.
Led by a team of passionate scientists, this colossal challenge illustrates the importance of preserving biodiversity.
Tsouilou is becoming a sanctuary for endangered wildlife, a symbol of hope for fragile ecosystems around the world.

Ce documentaire est très intéressant à plusieurs points de vue : - Félicitations et encouragements aux initiateur et développeurs du projet de restauration : Nick Opeinheimer, Gyus Van Dyck, Roxane Collins, Wendy Panaino, Linda Van Der Ver, Atene Kossiliba et la Tracker Academy et leurs équipes d’ouvriers. Félicitations aussi pour leur engagement et leurs méthodes de travail. - Si la faune présente des grandes différences, quelquefois, avec celle du Nord Sénégal (ici, pas de Lycaons, ni de Hyènes brunes, ni de Suricates, ni de grands herbivores comme les Kuddus, etc..), je découvre cependant avec surprise une flore presque identique : des acacias aux graminées.

41:30 the pangolin could also be rolling in dung like the lions do- because its may be like catnip and it affect their hormonal level. Looks that way To Me, Anyway. When You Watch Lions Rolling In dung they clearly enjoy it too Much lol
