1. Keep your string action low or appropriate. Never high. 2. Clean your fret board and ensure no hand dirts/dust around the fret metals, especially before re -stringing. 3. Change strings once they worn out (depending on usage and maintanance) 4. Note where your pickup selector is on your bass preapm. That is gold! If thats in the worng direction, your tones wont be what u want. 5. Learn bass accent! Its everything
