Note a few things if you are learning how to win HLL. 1) The enemy infantry were actually outgunning friendly infantry in the deathmatch for most of the game, but I suspect they only had 2 or 3 garries most of the game and as soon as they lost these to the cap they crumbled to last point. 2) This game turned around when the other squad leaders started focusing on building/defending garries (around 6:30). Commander does 50% of the garries but needs the SL's to do their part and set up the garries around the main fight. 3) This game was primed for a loss when first enemy airhead was dropped. Fortunately, Item leader made the difference by being in the right place and luckily stopping the first airhead. That airhead could of easily been a runaway for enemy because team the whole friendly team was being "contained" out of position. It would have only taken one enemy recon player in position to snipe/delay item SL or item happening to be 100m further away from the drop for the enemy to GG last 2 points from the same backline airhead. The point is, is it's not whether the defender is observing and able to stop a backline attack; that's a coin flip. It's whether the entire team is out of position to recover defense. 4) The second enemy airhead was also a major contribution to taking mid. Crane correctly saw that they were ahead on the cap race, and the enemy airhead was a mistake. The adage "don't interrupt the enemy while they're making a mistake", applies. You don't win cap races by shooting them off the point. You win cap races by ensuring they don't spawn.

My main issue with commanding is talking into the silence of command chat, telling people to check their maps and defend/ redeploy when required.

Many squad leaders biggest fear is talking into a command chat with no one talking, command can be the first one to speak by asking for a roll call of what SLs have mics and if they’re willing to set up garrisons, have a support player etc. 2 or 3 good squad leaders can win the game. Let everyone else be silent if they want

I wish I could play on american servers without lagging.. in the European servers not all squad leads can really help with much because their most of the squad isn't using mic and ignoring requests and those who has mic trying to communicate with broken english :D servers in general are really fun, by the english accent you can guess from which country the player from

The moment where you dropped supplies and asked for a blue zone garry to attack church, the SL finally replied, ill see if I can find support to build one. Meanwhile you've been dropping on that spot and everyone is oblivious that supplies were dropped there. That's my huge issue currently with the game and it's new players or just oblivious experienced ones. The lack of map awareness is enraging in most games currently. I feel like as SL, you may have orders by commanders to place garrisons, but SLs should see a supply drop coming in and just instinctively head towards them knowing you want a garrison built there

Hey Crane, I like your playstyle. Pretty much we are very similar. Would you like to team up? Here lv 295, pretty much 75% of my time I'm commander. I'm getting more frequently annoyed by the increasing amount of SL noobs and all I need is a fed good people in command chat to win a 5-0. In case if you want to take a breath of fresh air from command, or you still want to, we can rotate. Let me know. In case we can try to beat my record of 13 minutes. And in case anyone wants, I would think it would be funny to stack up us strategists against casuals lol
