The songs have very similar chord progressions, so the melody fits right into the music perfectly, plus there's been some editing done to the JP vocals in a couple places to make it fit better. I also think it can't be *entirely* coincidental--September is a relatively popular song from the USA and its popularity has not been hurt by the internet; more and more people keep listening to it and enjoying it. It's not super far-fetched that the composers of the other song have heard it and/or were influenced by it. When she goes "Whoa-whoa-whoa" I just can't believe it wasn't in the back of someone's mind who worked on this
