Thank you so much for doing the parts for this song. At my church the choir does not concentrate on the tenders in any way shape or form. They will do the sopranos then the autos then the sopranos and outdoors together. They just kind of throw the tenders in and say you got it good and go on. This is not a song that I can just hum and find the Tenner park while the others are per person there I actually need to hear where we go. We rehearsed it tonight and we will see it on Sunday. So thank you for helping me to know where I'm going

Why do church musicians omit the bass/baritone singers?
@TaughtWright7 ай бұрын
There isn’t a bass nor baritone part for this song.

@@zacharylavender1568it’s not really necessary bc there’s almost always a bass guitar so just sing with the sopranos an octave lower

@@jaykingston949 it’s apparent you’re not a choral conductor, composer or musician. Why do you think there are four voices in a full chorus and not just three? The “black church” omits the bass line or section because most of the directors and musicians cannot read a choral score and they do not know how to teach. The bass voice is very necessary and needed. Why would you have them sing the soprano part an octave lower? This tells me there’s a lack of training and a lack of understanding a choirs makeup and dynamics. And there’s no creativity in not teaching the “full chorus”- all four parts!
