This song is still relevant today. John Farnham's passion, performance and vocals during the late 1980's was beautiful. His band, particularly David Hirschfelder (keyboards) and his lead guitarist (Bret Garsed) were outstanding.

I sang this song last night I think and practice these songs all the time. He also was incredibly handsome. Little River Band were so much better when they had him. All the hate he gets is sickening. Farnham didn't have the international profile of Freddie or MJ, but clearly one of the best of that era. He was one of the first singers considered by Queen to replace Freddie but it never happened apart from some minor collabs in 2000 when he was past his prime. Farnham is my favourite singer. Yes. This song was written by Steve Prestwich, the drummer with Cold Chisel. Steve also played drums for a little while for LRB when John was lead vocalist. I have a feeling John recorded this song with LRB with Prestwich on drums.
