I have been fat all my life. A month and a half ago, a certain event inspired me to lose weight. I started going to the gym and eating a healthy diet; And I lost 10 kg. My goal is to lose 35 kg of weight. In a few months, I'll edit this comment to let you know if I've reached my goal. Wish me luck. Some data: I started with 113 kg and now I weigh 103 kg. I am 21 years old and I am 1.82 m tall. Edit 19/07/2022: My weight is now 91.3kg. I lost 21.7kg in total. My goal was to lose 35kg, but I think it won't be enough, so my new goal is to lose 40kg. Since going to the gym, my mental state is much better and my life in general has improved. But this is just the beginning, I still have a lot to improve. I will keep reporting. Edit 26/02/2023: During August 2022, studies kept me busy and I didn't have time to exercise. In September of that year I went back to the gym, this time focused on muscle gain. Since then, my goal has been to gain muscle, with very good results. At the same time I have also lost weight, my weight is now 85.5kg. I lost 27,5kg in total. Starting tomorrow, I will focus again on fat loss.

Truthfully, the gym is generally a place of motivation. Yes, there is the odd person who thinks they’re a professional trainer because they read Arnold’s book and they’ll bug you about your form and such, but generally it’s coming from a good place and you can make some very good friends in the gym. It’s a different type of bond, the gym bro bond.
