Well the only relevant team in MPL ID before PH imports penetrated them are Onic, RRQ and Evos. While in PH, teams that won major international tournaments (Mseries, MSC, SEA) are BLCK, BREN, EXE, RSG PH, ECHO and even ONIC PH managed to reach runner up spot at M3.

The casters and talents had fault in this massive pressure on Onic, too. Followed by other content creators. Let's be honest. They built this narrative that Onic is untouchable. Probably because of the fact that Onic is 3peat in Indonesia, without considering that maybe, JUST MAYBE, the MPL quality sucks and the competition is not as competitive as they think. This illusion was solidified by MSC 2023. Only one tournament to create the story that Indo era was coming, Ph era is over. The thing is, if you keep on telling the same story, you end up thinking it's true. Imagine convincing the world (based on the survey) that Onic will win it 70% on average, except the Philippines. From the get go, I didn't think Onic is undefeatable. But ngl, I had for a second think that maybe Onic is. Because so many people say it! So when reality hit, that bubble of idea shattered. People were hurt because the truth they think was all a lie. And who do they blame? The most tangible figure out there - Kairi, 'best jungler rn,' so they say.
