There went the eletrical wire
@TimothyWmYoung10 ай бұрын
That was my absolute, very first thought as I was watching him trying to break off that overhang. So, what's the take away?? It was my thought that he was trying to get all the snow to begin coming down off the top of his roof. That didn't happen. So, then I thought that maybe it didn't slide off because it was still attached to the other side of the roof at the roof apex. Then I thought that he would have to be up on top of the roof, anyway, with some sort of cutting tool, slicing, hacking (machete), his way through to the roof itself, and then record his video as we could have seen the roof clear, all at one time. But without regard, that looked pretty dangerous to me! I wonder if he was surprised to see his wire disappear!? I wonder what utilities he lost??

@@batcout8787 🇨🇦 here. It would be because the shape of the roof allows the snow to slide off. The snow could be a solid mass like this, or a powder waterfall.

NJ here ✋ After we've had a blizzard I will sometimes try to get some snow (and icicles) off the house. The main thing is to see what the temps will be in the days following the storm. If it's above freezing, no need to do anything. The warm air & 🌞 do the work.

Verizon will come as many times as needed when you take care of snow and trees for safety purposes in NY. Found out dipstick kids next door pulling on the cable also qualifies.

This is Norway. And this is what we have to do sometimes. The snow can pile up so heavy it can brake the roof. Edit ; the wire is most likely not a electrical or internet cable... We have other solutions... Wirers are from a long gone century. Idk anyone who use wirers anymore so people talking about the old stump of wire....nah. The salvation is to not get damage to roof, or even brake. And there is nothing lost in this clip its a clean win .

C'mon..what red blooded American male wouldn't have accepted the challenge? "I got this dude, we'll make a flame thrower and melt the ice off! Get the propane tanks"! Ok...my story..I had a beautiful 78 smokey and the bandit Trans Am. Showroom. Decided to wax and polish. Didn't have a buffer to get the wax off, so I saw an orbital grinder with an 8" sanding disc on it in my dads garage. I folded a towel on the hood, set the sanding pad on top and squeezed the trigger, The towel flew across the yard at mach 2 leaving a perfect 8" circular grind down to the metal. Don't remember much after that. Fess up guys!
