To clarify some things, the damage your boots will take depends on the field you are playing on(AG, turf, FG, or indoor). Second, remember to get boots that are best suited for the places you’ll play on(get ag boots for artificial grass). Thirdly, the best time to replace your boots is when you think the damage is affecting how you play or can cause you to get injured(like in the video). Hope this helps

Personally, I do soccer 3-5 times a week and my cleats can last me about a season. He must be playing nearly everyday to get to that point, and u know damn well ur not doing that so of course u don't gotta change them evey half season.

Usually the upper only peels like that if you don't let them dry out properly. After a wet playing session put some newspaper in them and put them somewhen dry and well ventilated, not near a hot radiator.
