Just did my first inspection of my hives this afternoon. Both are so full of bees they are close to swarming, also a little honey bound - so swapped some frames of nectar/honey with foundation and put on a super. Split time soon!

We are getting to -1 or -2 for the next couple days then warming in the 20's Celsius. Great to see healthy bees!! Thanks!

Thanks Laurence, glad its almost spring! Lost one of my colonies, the other three are doing well, I think I will have to do swarm control sooner rather than later, this will get me back up again. Cheers, Peter

Hi Laurence, your nuc looking good mate, where can I get a jolanta queen, I need to split a couple of my hives and was thinking of some new genetics in my apiary. I believe you have your apiaries at mold north Wales and I’m only down the road at Liverpool. Thank you for sharing your vlogs with us mate.

They come from a Murray McGregor in Scotland..Not sure where actually sells them though. I order via text! 😀

Love the video! In regards to temperature , we just had the hot spell but is it ok to do an inspection even if it gets a bit colder. What is your minimum inspection temperature?
