I think I'll finally have to test that brilliant Playtime module of yours! But is there any way for the modules to send commands back to the Mother LP they're inside? So that you could just call up more buttons when needed and save some space there...

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. There are ways for modules and templates to communicate back and forth. But also it's limited in terms of what can be made with loopy modules and midi commands. For example I can find no way to make a transpose button, so I have to make different screens for different octaves in the Play Time module.
