That was a smart decision I found an amethyst on 74 yesterday on an 80 cent bet and I only made $7 on it when I think the lady before me put over 100 in when it was already at 74

Yeah, so frustrating to have them get stuck on 1 away like that... and really kind of brutal of the game designers to torture unsuspecting ladies like that... if they would've just not gotten greedy and added Jackpots (even just removing the Grand), then they could have made this game way more appealing by having the gems land more often.

It’s been my observation that the smoker means you will have lots of one matching symbol on non wild spots. It doesn’t seem to correlate with payout

That's a keen observation... and it checks out with my recollection... will watch for this next time. It's not as exciting of a smoker then, because there's no way to multiply those line hits on Regal Link, as with the original Regal Riches. Smokers are a dying breed I guess... 🫢

I like the conservative path on the numbers, Tony... but he did say he won't listen to anyone. 😏 Personally I prefer a 5-4-3-2-2 but I'll consider a 6-5-4-3-2 under certain circumstances, particularly with other combo numbers or super high Majors in play. Pick 'em good guys!!! 👍

Thanks man!! 😃 Yeah, this one was a bit sloppy... and I probably should have run down that 71 at the end... but this game keeps proving that these borderline numbers just aren't worth chasing most of the time. Splitting up the equity of this machine into 5 different collection bonuses, PLUS the added jackpots on top, really dilutes the payback. And kind of makes this game more of an AP trap, than actual reliable AP.

I hear ya@@tonyharris5533 a 71 is not a bad play either, that's why I call it borderline... sometimes I play them, sometimes I don't (depending on some secondary factors)... I actually had 2 Amethyst shakers at 71 this past week... there does seem to be an increased likelihood of a shaker once you get closer to the max numbers.

Man...I had a rough chase recently- found a max bet play on wolf run...the major was at 30- I've never seen it so high smh I cleared the mini and hit a hand pay on a 17 minor well about $2,600 of profit evaporated doing $15.00 spins on ten cents 😢 Got it up to 33 but it didn't pop...went back a few days later and it was still there, bummed out I didn't trust my better judgement and walk. One of the most brutal loses I've had so far- in the back of my mind I knew to not go after anything past a mini or minor esp after clearing both but damn...I thought it was coming in any minute.

I've had multiple majors go to 50 or higher on that. I wouldn't commit to a chase on that bet unless it was at least 40.

@@nickdct472 the mega is irrelevant ad it's a complete non chase. I've hit a few though going for other things. I think the highest I'd ever seen was in the 130s.

Yeah man, that is a rough one, especially after having that profit in-hand... I concur with @vantablackpilled7169 on the 40+ count Major for that same reason... the expected pay has to be so incredibly high to justify the investment needed... a 30 count Major could be worth around 400x the bet ($6000) whereas a 40 count Major could be in the $8500-$9000 range... and once you start playing a 40+ Major, there really is no turning back, so you better have at least 1000x your bet on-hand and possibly some friends to help chop the action (and reduce exposure), and also split the significant time investment that's likely needed. Yep, and there's no way to multiply those line hits with these Cash Wilds... so not a bad decision to just pass on this version of the game, unless the bonus numbers are extremely close to hitting.

That AP on Regal Link is much less then the original. It seems like the newer games coming out are being designed that way. I’m of the school of thought that is not all bad either. If recreational players are losing less they’re more likely to continue playing a game and so the game will be better for AP players longer. You’ll just be putting in more volume to make as much as you use to. I’m sure there’s a mixture of feelings on the subject

Interesting perspective... I'm not sure recreational players are losing less on Regal Link vs. Regal Riches... but they are definitely playing it more, that is, until perhaps they realize that the colored gems hit with such infrequency that there's little hope of getting a bonus to come 🫤 so then they either abandon ship, never to play it again (which will eventually kill the action on the game), or they become AP themselves and start hunting better numbers. 😆
