I wish that I had had this video a few months ago - I actually wore mine WAY more than I would have wanted looking back! I got married in July and I wore it from the start of the day all the way until after our first dances and we also did our sunset photos before the first dance!!! I would have really only wanted it in the ceremony and a few portraits but every photo of us has my veil. It was fingertip length though so it wasn’t cumbersome, but I almost wish it WAS just so I would have remember to take it out earlier lol

Great video. I'm debating on wearing a veil. I'm 54 years old and this is my first wedding. I feel like I'm too old to wear a veil. Would it be wrong not to wear one? I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you!

Plenty of brides don't wear a veil! It's totally fine. If you think you won't feel confident with a veil on, skip it or just get an affordable one to wear for a few quick photos alone with your spouse :)

My hair is very straight and thin. The comb on the veil slides through like butter. I'm probably going to need the hair stylist to do something to keep the veil in. I'm worried I won't be able to take it out for the reception without totally destroying the hairstyle as well! Any advice?

I would recommend clip in extensions so you have more hair to grab the comb. These are very common for brides :) Definitely do a trial with your hair stylist (very much worth the money) so you can also work through other options to see what can work best.

How about a little history behind the reason for the veil ? Is it appropriate for a pregnant woman to even wear one? Just asking

The history varies, some say it was to ward off evil, some say it was a symbol of innocence. In today's times, I think it is simply just an accessory, therefore any bride can wear it.

I suddenly find myself lusting after a long one piece drop veil. I know I want it wear it in the mantilla style for some pics but for sure I want it fully down my face and hanging in front of me for the processional... the problem is I cannot picture in my head how the motions plays out for the kiss/unveiling. I can only see the blusher-type in my head, like it being lifted up and over but what about with a drop veil, providing it's unsecured ? Is it pulled off into mantilla position??? I need a video reference!

I am unfamiliar with that style veil, I would recommend practicing with a friend to see what works best!
