Have to admit Usman may not be the most exciting but, tactically speaking he whooped masvidals ass. I like Masvidal as a fighter he is brutal and a significant part of his arsenal are his mid kicks to the stomach. That is were Usman gets the advantage, he anticipated the kicks so well that all that force Masvidal throws puts him off balance and thats when Usman can initiate a solid takedown. I do think the horrific weight cut for Masvidal was also part of the problem.

Even if his jaw wasn't broke, he got hit so hard he thought it was broke. and in the case of masvidal, it's your job to not get detained up against the fence for 5 rounds. If you depend on someone to let you go or " get off of you " so that you can strike, you have already loss. Mastival couldn't strike unless Usman aloud him to. or let him up or off the cage. In prison if you cant get a man off you, you are in a world of trouble.
@SJC97263 жыл бұрын
Masvidal is actually a good grappler if you do your research on him. It just so happens that masvidal specialises in striking which is useless points wise if your opponent can take you down and hold you there or hold you against the cage. (A slight problem i can see in mma but its a very controversial opinion.)You can grapple out of a striking match but its much more difficult to strike out of a grappling match
