In my humble opinion, I believe this is the most important and sacred moment in human's history... Humans have learned to trade resources instead of killing for it... That moment saved countless of lives and was a catalist that founded great societies...

First trade probably gone like this, mountain tribe lived with alot of rocks and learned to craft tools but lack food, forest tribe became good hunters and foragers but lack tools, so they decided to trade. I say humans traded first before they learned war.

Well this hole idea of the "primitive man" talking and acting as if they'd had a stroke or concussion, wearing leather rags and acting primitivley. And in this case trading valuable knife and spearheads for meat. They would have to prepare that meat right away so that it dosnt spoil. I dont know the context of this video. Do they speak the same language? Have they been in conflict with each other before? Is this the first time they meet? Why is the whole tribe there during the meeting? Why cant they hunt they're own food? And so on. The whole situation seems so unplanned and dangerus from they're perspective. So "unprofessional" i get that sometimes things just hapen. But this... What im trying to say is that im tired of that whenever there is an illustration of stoneage people they are pretty much always displayed as dumb and primitive and lacking of social skills and kulture. Or it's a forced scene like this one. It's a bit cartoonish. Cliche. It's ok for a little entertainment but it's not realistick IMO.
@TheJoker137
@TheJoker137 7 жыл бұрын
TeamDiscus TeamDiscus Well I can't exactly speak to the language used but if they are trying to portray the speech of early modern humans it probably didn't quite sound like English, French, or Spanish. As for trading meat for tools that does make some deal of sense because meat was incredibly valuable because it was hard to acquire. Look up "meat sharing" (and wade through whatever weird porn that gives you lol) and you'll see that it's something that modern apes do as an expression of culture and social hierarchy. Those higher up chose who they share meat with. We can infer that early man likely did the same thing so trading meat would have been a big deal. It was important part of our diet at the time because it was one of the only sources of fat. As for leather rags, there are places in the world where the native people are pretty sparsely clothed so that didn't seem that bad. I don't know you so you very well might know all this stuff anyway but I think it sheds light on the point. As for the tension, it may just be for dramatic effect but that trade negotiations can be matters of life and death and could end in someone getting killed.

I think it was a habit for them at some point not to kill each other, because it is beneficial to them to keep them alive and keep trading. It benefits both parties not to kill each other. They probably would create a military alliance to even save each other from other tribes because of their trade partnership. And here we are in the 21st century with all this awesome tech and international trade because they choose not to kill each other all the time.

Historically, there were instances where Aboriginal peoples in Australia were subjected to forms of forced labor and exploitation by other Aboriginal groups before Europeans had arrived. Paintings depicting Aboriginal tribal wars are significant cultural and historical artifacts that provide insights into traditional Indigenous warfare practices and social dynamics. These artworks often capture scenes of conflict, ceremonial battles, or rituals associated with warfare among Aboriginal groups in Australia. The paintings may vary in style and technique based on the region and the cultural traditions of the specific Aboriginal group. They serve as visual records that not only depict the events of tribal wars but also convey cultural values, spiritual beliefs, and the relationship between different clans or tribes. These artworks are valuable not only for their historical documentation but also for their cultural and spiritual significance within Aboriginal communities. They offer a glimpse into the complex social structures, strategies, and rituals surrounding warfare among Indigenous peoples before European colonization.
