Hello I'm happy to see you again! I'm Alberto from Italy (perhaps you remember, I stopped throwing completely for spine problems, last year. But you revised very well my throws). Now I'm really good, fortunately. In these moths I watched really tons of tutorials and tournaments in disc golf, playing (alone) really much with disc golf discs (I brought also a portable basket 🙂). And so if I've heard you well, I perhaps should correct you. The hyzer for the forehand is with the disc held in the hand towards down, and the anhyzer is with the disc held in the hand towards up. Anyway congratulations also for the great power of the throws with the disc golf discs! Then the number for that going from one side to the other are the third and the fourth especially. Turn and fade. Turn is for the forehand (thrown by right handed) from about -4 to 0, the first is of the so-called understable discs, that thrown properly, go, especially in the first part of the fly, on the left; on the contrary the 0 turn is of the overstable discs that tend to go directly on the right. The fade from 0 to 4, gives di an idea of the rapidity of the disc in going on the right (forehand thrown by right-handed).

I remember you! Ok so on a forehand the anhyzer happens in the first part of the flight, then the hyzer happens at the end?

@@ryanlowe6243 yes. But also you can release the disc on an Hyzer or on an Anhyzer angle. If you release the disc laterally pointing down (not too much) (this is the Hyzer throw for the right-forehand) and use an understable (not too much understable, not too much inclined laterally towards the ground) disc, it will make better that torsion in the flight, first going left and then at the end going right (especially if the disc is understable with a turn - 2 for example, but has a fade of 2 or 3, fade that makes the disc thrown with forehand going more rapidly right at the end). If you search the Flying Charts of the Diisc Golf disc producers, you can see how the different discs generally fly (with no 'inclination', thrown horizontally, neither with Hyzer nor Anhyzer inclination). Usually the flying charts are for the right hand backhand throws, so the flying paths for the forehands are the mirror of the backhand ones.

@@albertoquagliaroli4230 Thanks so much for straightening that out for me Alberto!! I'll pin your comment so people can see the correction.

Yep! The hyzer angles are opposite for forehand as they are for backhand, because of the spin being opposite. You can find charts online for it I think.

I love this video! Learning about the flight of frisbees is incredible. It is the best part. The variety between disc golf and ultimate lids is so great and leaves you with great artistic ability for the flight. Super cool stuff. I was lucky to be able to get a disc golf disc in my hand as a tween and so i’ve had this for a good bit now. I remember learning everything a disc could do as a kid. Great stuff

So the numbers consist of speed glide turn and fade, the 3rd number the turn is how you know whether it’s going to be over or understable. You can let a understable disc rip on a strong hyzer line and it will still flatten out 👍

As someone who plays both disc golf and ultimate, I always tell my ulti friends that come to a course with me to imagine throwing the worst OI blade flick of your life, so that it basically would blade OI and land 20 feet behind your mark (assuming your right handed, mark is forcing flick). Once I tell them that, I usually lose $$ on holes and their distance increases substantially.

Sounds like good advice! And generous considering you're playing for cash :P

You should have tried an overstable driver, stable driver and understable driver.
@ryanlowe62433 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea! Can you make some suggestions of specific drivers and I can pick those up and make another video? I don't actually know much about disc golf drivers. Also - preferably if you could suggest faster ones that would be great - don't want to spend money on discs unless they're going to have monster distance!

@@ryanlowe6243 Yes I can. For understable choose a leopard for a low speed understable driver and a katana for high speed for some fun. Both are understable and the Katana can be one of the furthest flying, throw that sucker high bc it will turn and turn. For stable choose a Valkyrie, this has the highest potential distance of all of the drivers as well. I would go with a Nuke OS or a Westside Discs Sword for overstable. :) I play disc golf and have done a lot of research in the past 6years
