I don't know if it's true still, but many years ago _(context: I'm 40),_ I had heard that for the motor in a Top Fuel dragster like those rail cars, by about the halfway point of a 1/4mi run, it has completely melted the spark plugs and it continues to ignite the fuel simply from the residual heat generated during those fleeting moments! 🤪🤯
