Bike life.. never a dull moment! Last summer at a T junction on a dry day at a standstill bike slowly tips over on the left side no idea what happened or why but down it went, thankfully (ahem) there were loads of cars and people to witness the event and give me a hand to pick it up. New clutch lever was the damage, one VN1500 up for sale was the result. I'm sticking to the lighter stuff, at least I can move the ZZR600 around without feeling like I'm driving a bus. When I dropped the RT (car park, side stand not down properly - easy as you note in your RT review) it fell onto the pot and pannier and I got it back up using the same 'back to' technique. And I swore a lot. Nothing much damaged though except a scuff on the head protector and pannier. Actually I think the boxer layout helps a bit as it pivots over the head rather than lying flat. Still a heavy beast though. Anyway... great dronage! Lovely spot too.

Nice drone footage. About the little mishap there, no worries, no harm done, when you can walk away from it unharmed and bike no damage you'll laugh about it later. Bit of a laugh at the end, that dude took your BMW car :-)

Hi TMF, Kudos for posting this. I expect someone has already said this but I can't be bothered to read all the comments - Having done the same several times I found that putting the side stand down and ensuring the bike is in first gear before lifting saves much grief when you have got it upright.

Correct - many have said the same - thanks for watching!

Sorry to see the slip TMF - but kudos to you for uploading it - and jumping on the bike straight after (I know with these recent slippy conditions my heart's been in my mouth one-a-many-morning-commute). Hope the trusty you and there GS are okay, looking forward to the 'meet the vloggers' uploads soon too.

Cracking winters day for Blighty, lovely. Glad all is okay and it was soft mud.

Glad no damage done to you or the bike - so easy to do a mischief we've all been there! Quality droneage as well, it does produce some quality footage - more please. All the best, Ewan

My hat's off to you TMF for showing that. As dropping it goes, it could have been a whole lot worse. Glad you're ok.

It's the most gut wrenching feeling. Good to see you're well, hope the bike escaped scrape / scuff free too.

Bad luck, dropping the bike, but no harm done, I was glad to see. All the same it shakes you up a bit and gives your confidence a knock. Dropped my R1200GS Adventure last MoT leaving the garage. Silly mistake dithering about which way to turn joining the road. Luckily the two guys from New Street Motorcycles saw what had happened and came out and picked the bike up for me. Wrenched my right knee though. No damage to the GS apart from a couple of slight scratches on the engine protection.

Hi TMF, I enjoyed the dronage and the dropage, both perfectly executed.⁉️ I’m glad you are ok and the bikes unscathed, nothing that some 2 bucket treatment won’t sort out... Many thanks for venturing out, take care, Anthony.

At least you landed on the soft stuff. No damage and no injuries, the "best" kind of drop. I was out on the Z1000SX on Monday - it was a lovely biking day. Great to get out this time of year.

Just bought my first GSA, mainly due to you, and now you show me this. I am struggling to get it on the main stand and if I do I then struggle to get it off. Glad you were sensible enough not to try and hold it. Dropped my Multistrader and forgot to do the sidestand so lifted it up and it crashed down on the other side. We live and learn.

Good job picking it up , glad you didn’t have any damage. I dropped my Kawasaki z1000st in mud with a passenger on , we both just stud up , no damage but the mud was everywhere lol. The good thing about mud is it does break your bikes fall a bit. 👍🏍😎
