As a current Walmart employee, I always tell new employees I train to never even think about stealing from the registers. I always emphasize the fact that Walmart is very good at catching thievesC especially ones that work for the company. They may let you get away with it, a little at a time, before they bust you big time. After 3 years of working here and seeing these same employees not heed my advice and get arrested, I feel no sympathy for them. I just shake my head at how stupid they are.

I worked as an apartment maintenance engineer in Georgia and the leasing agent that I worked with started started taking cash money from residents to pay their rent. This was against company policy, but she never deposited the rent to the bank, she kept the money for herself. She had taken $32000. One day she confessed to me in the office what she had done, she was apparently feeling guilty and stressed and just wanted to talk to someone about it. She asked me what should she do. I told her, the best thing that I could think of for her to do would be to be honest and tell the management what she had done and try to work it out with them. She did tell the management. They made her pay back the money and of course, she was fired but at least she did not go to jail.

I used to work in the cash office at Walmart, it is pretty easy to recognize the pattern of theft and check the cameras. They usually steal for a few weeks before it can be narrowed down to the individual. It always amazed me that people would think the money wouldn't be missed.
@jb671217 күн бұрын
I worked Walmart Customer Service, so had to teach newbies how to be cashiers, as well as potential CS personnel. Had one ridiculous girl, the "party girl" type, who constantly miscounted her register drawer at the end of every night shift (she had to work, alternate shifts of days one week, afternoons the next). I would make her stay right there as I also counted her register--over and over and over until she finally understood that whatever boozefest she was wanting to get to would have to wait until her drawer was accurate. She never stole anything at all, she was just incredibly self-centered and lazy, always wanting to party. The night she slammed her register drawer down on the counter and screamed at me "to get it right the first time, I have a New Year's Eve party to get to" was the one that finally sobered her up and made her realize how close she was to losing her job. She miscounted the drawer to the tune of $3,000...and then she slowed way down, sat down and recounted it very, very carefully (it balanced perfectly that time. I was required to count it, too). When I left there a few months later, she was teaching other cashiers the correct way to count their drawers, and to "Be patient, never hurry! Nothing you have to do is so important that you leave your register incorrectly counted!"

I don’t know why, but black people think they are special based on where they’re from. One cold winter night in western Canada I was standing in line outside a club. This black girl walks right to the front of the line and says “Look I ain’t from here, I’m from New York” And the door guy was like okay, there is a line to get in “No no, you don’t understand. I’m from New York. I don’t have to wait in line” I then yell out from the back of the line “NO ONE GIVES A SHIT YOU’RE FROM NEW YORK” And she starts yelling “WHO SAID DAT” and then I point to my friend lol. Seriously though, what is wrong with African Americans? How the hell does being from a big city make you better than someone?

I worked at a hotel as a front desk agent like a decade ago and I started working alongside another employee, it was the first day on the job for both of us. It was quite apparent that she didn't like the workplace as the front desk wasn't air conditioned and you need to be standing for most of the time. After about a week while I was on break she decided she didn't want to work there anymore so she quickly emptied the cash register (around $750) and just bailed. Manager said she was caught and arrested two days later. After reviewing all the camera footage of the week she worked it was shocking to see that she also didn't deposit or even registered cash payments from guests but instead pocketed all the money which was around $1400.

When I was coming up you had your malcontents, but as a kid who had a mother who ruled the roost with authority and fairness I walked a fine line. These Walmart employees were skimming large amounts of money for months at a time.
