My favorite ending is the ending to Dragon Ball GT because it made a lot more sense than the other endings. Goku seemed like he was done fighting and protecting Earth for good in that ending.

From the first episode of the original dragon ball it felt like the story was leading to the frieza saga finale. Basically the story should have ended there. Goku the legendary warrior defeated the strongest fighter in the universe Frieza. However I do believe that the Cell Saga would have been a better closure overall. Cause we saw Finally Gohan’s true power, Gohan becomes the hero and takes Goku’s place. Goku died as he was supposed to in the original timeline as some things never change as future bulma said, Vegeta in solitude, Trunks brings peace in his future timeline. Everything perfect, that was the perfect ending. For me Dragon ball pretty much ended there. All the rest of dragon ball always felt like side missions to the main story to me. When I was a kid the majin Buu saga disappointed me a lot and when I was rewatching the series most of the time I stopped at the end of the cell saga.

Imo it sorta makes sense that it ends at the cell saga. Goku sacrifices himself to save the earth, his son takes his role and kills the main antagonist. Goku actually dies and does not want to live again. the antagonist literally has everyone's cells, moves and their mindset.

Many misinterpret Vegeta’s speech in the Kid Buu battle, as this was Vegeta looking back and realizing why Goku is better than him, which is why in Super and GT, we see Vegeta still training not only to surpass Goku but for less selfish reasons like his family and his own curiosity to see how strong he can get, along with us seeing a far more relaxed and easy going Vegeta in both series

*The real question is when did Dragon Ball AF begin? Because in some Dragon Ball AF Manga adaptations DBAF starts 20 years after Dragon Ball GT. I say this because Goku Jr and Vegeta Jr fight in the the World Martial Arts tournament 90 years after Dragon Ball GT. Goku Jr and Vegeta show up a lot in Dragon Ball AF fanfics and somehow the Z warriors are still alive and fighting and training in Dragon Ball AF.*

​@@athifarif9724 You do realize that the Manga starts from Kid Goku, right? DBZ is just the anime separation between those two periods. In the manga, however, it is all consecutive, right from the start when Goku met Bulma to his battle with Kid Buu. DBS is a different manga. It should've ended at Frieza Saga, that is the quintessential ending for something like DB. Goku is finally recognized as the strongest in the universe after he beat Frieza, and his character developed from 'Wanting to be stronger' to 'Needing to be stronger' which is the entire point of the Super Saiyan Transformation. Cell Saga could happen, but I generally prefer that it is separated from DB with a short time skip.

7:43 So? Those industries don't hang entirely on Dragon Ball. They could work for other games, other mangas, and so on. In your case, you'd have to cover all that is left of Dragon Ball and then move on to other animes or whatever you'd like.

No gt is a different continuity like how there are multiple movie timelines, the original toei timeline db,dbz,dbgt. The toei timeline is official. So Gt is canon

Dragon Ball, truly a potential piece but become garbage for milking profits. The story should end with Goku and friends cooperating to destroy Frieza's Army to avenge his race as a Legendary Saiyan and achieving Universe Peace.
