It is what it is. Doesn’t matter if it needed to be crowdfunded or not. Choices were made, now new choices are made. If you want it, buy it. If you don’t want it, don’t buy it. Crowdfunded, pre-order, or dump prices… it doesn’t matter. Deal with the cards that are dealt. A company is in it for the money… just deal with it. @deananthony5248Ай бұрын
@@ShayDisplay that won’t be dead stock because just like there are people who cancelled there are also people that missed the deadline for whatever reason and will be eagerly waiting for another chance to buy one. And since they only produced the product for people that preordered and didn’t produce it based on estimates ,they will have a small amount, and when something is scarce prices go up. All the stuff at Ollie’s and Ross is just stuff that was overproduced . You don’t see Haslabs at Ollie’s or Ross for cheap because those were all made to order. @schadenfreudeind I'm guessing because they knew it wasn't necessary. The problem is that Hasbro is crowdfunding a project at all. They are one of the biggest toy companies ever. Other reasons that the X-Men '97 Sentinel is using a different model are: 1. Hasbro knows it will sell without a lot of marketing effort; 2. Hasbro wants to avoid having multiple concurrent HasLab projects that are competing for customers' dollars. The pre-order model gives customers more time to finance their purchase and allows them to more easily dissociate future charges with their present finances.

We got 50 wolverines the past couple months, and then they release the pinless body. If that's not a slap in the face then nothing is. Don't give me crap about leftover parts or something. This should have been the first one. I did pick this thing up btw, I have a lot of rare legends, but I did want a big ass stand out piece and it wasn't gunna be purple dragon guy. I'm not certain this thing will go on sale, but it might. They generally screw with the production and importation just to make sure they have a low stock to maintain demand, plus there is a lot going on with the importation of things lately. I think the only way it will go on sale is because everyone either went for the haslab, settled for one of the many lesser options, or are just too pissed off to deal with hasbro anymore. I honestly think its a fusion of extreme FOMO and hate mongering. Some collectors out there know they wont be able to afford a haslab for whatever personal/financial reason; and thats fine no one should prioritize toys over basic neccessities. But its gotten to the point where some start slinging hate at the company in a case of "if I cant have it then no one should" where theyll stir the pot to try and hinder the success of these projects so that if it fails they can pat themselves on the back "oh see good thing I didnt try to join in". Look at the Engine of Vengeance, it got shit talked into the ground and people were so smug and pleased to see it fail. Hasbro can do what they want but so can we the consumers and too many people forget that.

Same concept of ecto 1 being a lot more popular than a ghost rider car- a character most people see as riding a motorcycle

Good point about popularity. 🤔

True very possible , Most people agreed giant man is a main stay for the marvel legends community it was a very safe crowdfund even most die hards agreed plus I don't think the data correlates well 2 very different IP's GB vs Marvel with 2 very different order quantities and fan base sizes.

@@ArticulatedNinja yea just saying that that’s the reason why ecto 1 will succeed- it’s quite a popular “figure”. For ghost rider a good number people don’t even associate him with a car. The demand is different with the two
@TarriqАй бұрын
@@ArticulatedNinjamaybe less of “giant man won’t sell as limited pre order” and more “it won’t sell x amount” they wanted the higher profit margin and the haslab secured that. This route would have had less fomo

I honestly think the Hasbro team has listened and seen enough of these type of videos and content that they made that decision to stop haslabs, stop putting sought out figures with big Toys and stop crown funding and that’s exactly what they did. It surprises me that a video like this still has to be made just to, hash back out again all projects can’t we just move forward be happy with what they’re giving us now and moving forward what they’re gonna give us because it’s it’s apparent that they’re listening to our voices now

I remember back in 2018 when they still did the 1/6 scale Legends figures and I was hoping there would be a comic Giant-Man to sort of tie-in with that second Ant-Man movie.

Eh, Sentinels are a much easier sell due to X-Men especially after X-Men Disney+ series and people are gonna buy multiples compared to a Giant Man. The Sentinel video game packs sold like hotcakes.

You know that the Hasfans aren't going to give you your flowers so just stop putting pearls before swines. 😂. What is a pig going to do with pearls anyway? Eat em? Roll on them? What? If they told you yeah Arty you were right. Their heads would implode. Haslab has inspired me though and you should do this. Crowdfund your avatar on your channel to get it mass produced. Get him a ninja car with lights and add the wife and gf figures for fifty bucks a piece as unlockables along with their own street bikes. After that crowdfund the Ninja Fortress. Buh yow. Now what!!!

I heard this sentinel is made to order.. its impossible this will be on sale in bbts or ollies.. for me this sentinel is best option for those cant afford or missed the haslab one. Dont be bitter like other you tuber.

Personally i think they crowd funded the giant man just because that is such a niche figure, size and price point definitely didn't put it in a must crowd fund category.

Random thought ninja....they could have made a sentinel in their titan series of figures ...??? Not quite the same quality as shown here, but an easier way to army build
@Fuicui777Ай бұрын
What exactly are we “taking shots” at? People that are okay with the crowd funding system or what? I personally don’t mind the crowd funding way of doing things if I like the base product. I pay for it if it backs and if it doesn’t NBD. I don’t care if I have to pay for something now, I’d rather not have to worry about something a year from now if out of nowhere I’m financially in a tight spot, anything can happen. Plus it’s a good way to have products made that in 2024, retailers aren’t willing to carry. People were saying “boooo Hasbro could make these big ass things and sell them in stores”. Guess what, they still aren’t doing that. So the only thing they changed is the way you pay, but no bonuses if the item is well liked and enough people support it. Plus you can see how a character like Giant Man is apples to oranges compared to and army builder sentinel that people are already willing to spend 200+ dollars on and want 5 of them. Just saying, I don’t think the Haslab concept is a horrible way of doing things. That being said I’m curious how these things work out once produced, let’s say yeah you want 5 sentinels so you preorder, over a year you amass a larger collection than expected and no longer have room for 5 sentinels, or maybe you aren’t even collecting anymore. So you cancel the preorder. What’s Hasbro going to do? Just sell them on the website? 😂 we will see with dragon man

We all are allowed to have different standards for me the sail barge was a worthy crowd fund unlike an oversized standard figure (giant man). People wanted to say it has to be done that way for that size no it doesn't and this proves it that's all.

Since this isnt a haslab or anything are they able to reuse the parts or the whole mold from this Sentinel without people raising hell? Could see it recolored and tooled to be more modernized and resold way down the road.

I purchased 4 of the Sentinel Titan series one a few months back at $22 each. It is a respectable 14 inches and has some articulation (not enough). But for the price, that is what you call army building.

Fantastic video Ninja. Thanks for saying this as I have felt the same exact way since the Sentinel was announced. The sales success of this Sentinel will prove once and for all how deceptive Hasbro's been with their customers. An early adopted attitude thanks to Mr. French gave me all the ammunition I needed to NEVER back a Haslab again. Throw these glorious one-of-a-kind bad boys behind Hasbro Pulse and sell it in a pre-order window. I truly hope this is the end of the Marvel Legends Haslab.
