hi guys here comes the broken record just like the jays another lose and this time 2nd base error well as i said CHAPMAN by not signing him and MERRIFIELD is the down fall of the jays ps its hard to fill three holes 3rd 2nd and left field ps as i said the era of the pitchers will go up and it has big time ps i see big changes coming as season is over way to early ps oh well they got a beautiful field with 9 bars ps to bad but still am a jays fan GO JAYS GO have a good rest of the week

Have to disagree with you here Paul, Chapman is hitting .233, has a .707 ops and has ELEVEN errors on the season, while whit merrifield has .192 average with a .569 ops and three errors. When you compare that to IKF, who has a .282 average, a .728 ops and 2 errors, he is significantly better than both options. I’d much rather have barger and Horwitz playing for their offensive upside than Chapman and merrifield who are having below average seasons.

Jays determined to disprove the theory that they'll win 90% of games if they can score 3 runs or more.

If they have a pulse and make more than the min they need to be traded. The team needs a complete rebuild at this point. The hardest to move will be springer who may have straight up released. There is no hope this year. There is no hope for next year. Do not fool yourself into thinking a partial rebuild is possible. Everything has to go.

There is most likely no move for Springer sadly because no one in their right mind will pick up that contract

As an Orioles fan this Jays team reminds me so much of the 2017 Orioles. Coming off a Wildcard loss there was some hope for 2017. The team promptly tanked. The sell off started at the deadline and a total tear down has resulted in the current team. I believe this is the road the Jays must take including the front office.

I am scared ownership does not have the desire to do so. They are fine with a 500 team that makes money.

Wasn’t it Gausman that said they wouldn’t be together if they didn’t figure it out. I think this is telling and he has probably told the FO he wants to be moved to a winner if this doesn’t improve. For sure him, Bassitt and Berrios should be traded as well as kikuchi. I mean just go to waiver wire and unemployed pitchers to fill the rotation. Let me be clear. They could be a top 5 farm team if they trade the right pieces. Add in 3-4 losing years and then rogers money to top up for another window; and this team could be back to a winning window in 4 years. Rebuilding doesn’t mean 10 years of 100 loss seasons. This is where fans get confused . Blow it up.
@LockedOnBlueJays3 ай бұрын
100% agree. Especially with the money this team is willling to pay, they have to retool the farm system a couple of years and add better pieces in the off-season and they could be fine, but it’s still going to be a couple years!
@choocharoo3 ай бұрын
@@LockedOnBlueJays yes absolutely and my biggest worry is rogers not willing to deal with 10k attendance during those years. They might just constantly try to field an average team that hangs around in the 3rd wildcard slot. Sad.

The construction of this team comes down to Atkins and the front office. It has not worked really since Atkins took over. It has proved mostly that it doesn't work. The starters here are wasted on a very terrible hitting squad and a bullpen that blows up. The Jays don't have too much honestly to trade aside from the usual suspects. No team will give up a lot for average or poor performance players. But, don't expect anything more then prospects. Which is fine for our future as our farm system is depleted. A rebuild is coming. But will it be with the Atkins era or will it be a fresh take pair of eyes? The future right now looks bleak as of right now.

The jays should trade players and retain the salary so they essentially buy prospects. This should quicken the rebuild

Your use of present continuous (is losing) for KK and Barger is a bit of an overstatement and unnecessary. Just use past tense - it's what happened. It didn't happen over and over again. I don't understand the sense of entitlement of the Blue Jays vloggers and podcasters who seem to think that this team "deserves" to win and the other teams should just let it happen. The other team is as equally determined to find any way to win as you wish the Blue Jays were. As for the podcasters who call for the firing of the staff - that is just silly. If all teams fired their managers and coaches in June if they are below 500, half of the MLB teams would be changing manager/coaches every year in June. I think the biggest negative about the Blue Jays is their overzealous and 'wanna be owner" fans who think they know best. It's a bit much at times. I am a fan of some of the Blue Jays players and the commentators, and I understand the frustration of not winning, but the YT podcasters act like "other teams under 500 are mediocre" and "soft spots" on the schedule. It's as if they don't ever look in the mirror. I've only heard one who said, "I suppose the other teams look at us the same way, huh - the soft spot on the schedule".

Kevin kiermaier hasn’t been playing good defence as of late, and Addison barger is known to be a bad defender, so yes probably should’ve used past but it still captures the main point. When you have the 8th highest payroll in baseball and all these reports saying this team should be able to contend for a World Series, it’s no surprise fans are disappointed with the product on the field. As for firing of management, Ross Atkins has 0 playoff wins in his tenure (not including the AA built 2016 team) and John Schneider has made some of the most idiotic decisions we’ve seen in a low time, this isn’t new information. The jays have lose 7 straight games, something obviously has to change.

To be fair, Bluejays payed commentators discuss soft spots in the schedule. It's not just podcasts on KZbin.

Front office failed to upgrade offense last 2offseasons. Over emphasis on run prevention without offensive support cost them. Player evaluation team behind Teo, Lourdes,morenho,mitch white trades messed up. Teo and Lourdes could have been signed in free agency. Self correction on the field durig games and on team construction are glaringly bad
