While for random or sort encounters what you said is true that doesnt make it entirely not true. There are many signs that can help you tell if a person is lying or not when you are having a deeper / more thought out conversations with them rather than brainless questions such as "how are you". For example if a person dodges/looks away/pauses a question that has an easy answer such as "how many people you slept with?" then you can tell somethings up. It doesnt have to be a lie since they can avoid the answer entirely but it doesnt put them in a good light either. Just because some people are shy, nervous, socially awkward or whatever doesnt mean this doesnt work. Im an introvert and socially awkward af and i can tell that if the conversation goes long enough when im bullshiting i start to show signs also even if they are not those.

About the rollercoaster breakup, yeah she shouldn't force him to do what he don't wanna do. And if it was like a forceful and negative attempt to get him on, like "you must do this" then that's wrong. Tho not gonna lie, rollercoasters made me scared sh*tless, before, during and a bit after. The only thing I would say about this is that forcing someone to "face/overcome their fears" before they are ready to confront them can be far more harmful than helpful. It's always best to encourage them to slowly address their fears when they are ready, and\or recommend they seek structured / professional help to get passed their fears. To simply push him the way it seemed like it was happening in the video, diminishes the impact of his fear and likely sets him back in overcoming it if he was trying to slowly address it.
