Love this knife! I've owned numerous folding knives over the years, including from Kershaw. This is by far my favorite, as slime as the Leek, but easier to hold in your hand. One and only downside, I've snapped the tip on my first one doing very light work. Could have been a fluke, but it broke at the point were the two steels meet. Still bought a second one and have had it for a few years with no issue. Just something to be aware of.

Thanks Aaron! I just took delivery of Kershaw Dividend composite blade! The knife seems as reviewed! The line between the two steels POPS in person! I got a matching EDC light it's 300 lumens and single cell AAA. IM going to fabricate a carrier for both together.

Just received this knife today. So far with the initial test, I really like it. I believe it is going to replace my ZT0566cf for daily carry. It fits my hand like a glove and is super sharp out of the box. It's also a beautiful knife. I can't wait to put it to a lot more use. Thanks for the review. Also, I do like the assisted design. I have arthritis in my hands and have trouble opening some unassisted knives.

Thays a great knife. Been carrying for 5 years now and can get that cpm d2 screaming sharp. I own the Leek in composite as well. Noticed a marked difference between the D2 and the CPM D2. The CPM will take a much keeper edge.

I bought this last week and got it yesterday. It's my first ever American-made knife, and my first ever Kershaw. I REALLY like the quality of the knife....by far better than CRKT or Cold Steel, in my opinion. I kind of wish this wasn't a flipper design, but it's not a huge deal breaker for me. I'm not sure where it's going to fit in to my rotation, but I'll definitely carry it.

One of my favorite edc blade shapes. Ergos not great though. Because of the flipper/guard area there's not much handle left behind it. A finger choil would completely fix the issue. Actually sending mine to Way of Knife to have the choil added. Starting with my older 440hc version and see how it goes.

If you get a chance, could you look into doing a review of one of Milwaukee’s hardline knives? They have 5 knives in the family: one fixed blade in AUS-8 (meh), and 4 stonewashed D2, ball-bearing action folders in various sizes & configurations. I have the 3” plain edge folder, and i think it’s a great option as a tough wear EDC

Personally I'm a bigger fan of washers than I am of bearings, mainly because all of my knives get into my work rotation and eventually get gunked up around their pivots. While normally I stray from assisted opening, I gotta say it's very satisfying and snappy on my Dividend. It's not a bad work knife and the thin stock really helps it sing through cardboard. Plus come on, it's just cool looking with that N690 / CPM-D2 composite blade. Very good ergonomics.

I don't understand the reasoning behind the dual steel blade. Is it for the "cool looks" department?
@kydd6664 жыл бұрын
Harder steel at the edge allows for better edge retention and softer steel on the spine allows the blade to flex instead of snap under heavy use. It makes no sense to put that on such a thin EDC folder, it's usually reserved for hard use fixed blade and swords. In this application i think it's more of a gimmick
