Ziggler is a jobber, and that's not his fault it's WWE's fault for never actually sticking with him. Fans have hijacked cena, orton, roman, ect. But they stuck with them. And I couldn't care less that they fired Ziggler. Maybe he'll make a name for himself in the Indies and come back to be a main eventer like cringy Cody.

@jaweiss349 ай бұрын
NXT has had two since, but otherwise yes they haven't had an Iron Man match on WWE PPV or shows since July 2018. Iron Man matches used to be big matches to end a feud. I still remember the Iron Man match between Kurt Angle and [Redacted] that was an incredible match. Kurt put on several really amazing Iron Man matches. Kurt had one with Shawn and Brock as well. Though Bret Hart and Owen Hart had a lot of incredible Iron Man matches back in the day. Crazy that a lot of those matches will be 20 years old this year.

Iron Man matches kind of suck. You know that whatever happens through 95% of the match when it's down to the last minute the score is still going to be tied or within one point. This match was a change booked as a response to fan feedback and after this pay-per-view they reverted back immediately to what they were doing previously. Can't speak to how I would have behaved if I was there, because I wasn't. But I can refer to the one time I was at a indie show and a group of lads tried to start the thing where you squeal the word "sweet" loudly and in a high-pitched voice after every two count. It wasn't a comedy match, took attention away from the performance (main event btw), was really annoying and tended to snowball once it started. I let it slide the first time but yelled "Don't start that" after the second time. The people around me cheered and one lad shouted "thank you". Others, who realized that some fans had the WWE Network and were watching the clock, caught on to this, and joined in on the Rumble countdown. Its tough to say fans steal the match, if you asked the Rock he would comment on how electrified the crowd was and he would of gave the fans something to chant or get hyped over instead of the clock. Not even a fan of hogan but he did the thing where he out his hand on his ear to hear the crowd get them extra hyped then go for a big move. That crowd was a perfect crowd for in ring talent to work.

Recently people claimed backlash france had annoying crowd never saw this crowd. France chants were clever and actually fun for the fans. Like fans singing ortons them or them chanting a French song that meant phenomenal to AJ styles. Where this is just annoying and needles. It was a good match ruined by fans

As someone who got to experience it from within the crowd (and somewhat close to the group who started it), everyone (at least around me) just seemed really burned out by the end of the night. A few spots aside, the whole show got kind of stale, and fast. If they would have let the clock up, it would have died out very quickly (and already was from my POV), but taking the clock down just gave people a reason to keep doing it, so of course bringing it back was going to pop the crowd. I actually saw some people down in front of me in my section pull up the WWE Network feed to see when to start doing it. Taking it down just made it personal.

I remember that at the time, this was the first PPV Main Event in a stupid amount of time that didn't feature, an at the time overly pushed and terribly booked, Roman Reigns; and the crowd spent the entire thing chanting about a clock...

It was a tough time to be a WWE fan in 2018. Though when AEW was created all those hijacking fans went to their shows instead so WWE's audience got better.

Probably one of the most frustrating PPV's I've ever watched, always loved the old school Iron man matches and fans today complaining they do do enough of them. The fact they started booing because they took the clock down is so fuckin cringe. Imagine being paying for a Wrestling show just to get excited about making a buzzer sound every minute and ignore the actual great match they put it despite the crowd being totally disconnected.

I don’t blame em. Before the tribal chief era WWE had gone down the shitter so hard that it seemed impossible to find anything good about the show and fans were just tired of seeing this circus Watching an episode of raw from 2017-2019 is akin to having your hair pulled one by one WWE rn is infinitely more watchable and engaging and with none of the bullshit that plagued the show during the late 2010s.

I remember a match that had Cena and Samoa Joe as opponents in a tag match. When Joe was in TNA, so many people fantasised about those 2 one day squaring off. They had a stare down and they were about to wrestle for the first time and I think it ended up being the last time. Crowd instead were distracted by a beach ball.

This is proof that you shouldn't always listen to the fans. Fanbases are indecisive or have differing opinions, constantly changing. It can pay off big time for the wwe or blow up in their faces, it's up to them to know when. But Ziggler makes a good point, I like his mindset.

Your question at the end of this video... That's like paying for tickets to a comedy act and saying, "I paid money, I have every right to heckle the comedian!" No, you don't. You paid for the right to be there and have a good time watching someone perform.
