Gotta give credit where credit is due. These bangers were made by a pair of composers. Solitude - Mitsuharu Fukuyama Bloodstained Philosophy - Hidenori Shoji With Vengeance - Hidenori Shoji Affected Fight - Mitsuharu Fukuyama Reign - Hidenori Shoji, Mari Yoshida Hailstorm - Hidenori Shoji Highly recommend checking out the Yakuza Composer Appreciation series by SnowiestAngeman here on youtube. He has episodes for both of these guys, along with examples of their other work in the series within and in separate playlists for your perusal. Mitsuharu Fukuyama also did what is quite possibly the most famous Yakuza song in existence. I'll give you three tries to guess which one it is, and the first two don't count. Hidenori Shoji has been with the series since the very beginning, and is an absolute master at what he does. Funk Goes On, Outlaw Lullaby, A Scattered Moment, Fly, SPEED STAR, Recieve and Bite You, Pledge of Demon, Hell Stew, Asphodelos, with tons of others, were all done by him. So yeah. Great selection of tracks. Once again, check out those videos if these tracks interest you at all.

It has touches of hedonism and weird humbleness which contrasts Pledge of Demon’s violent undertones and the "Universe shaking" tone Shibusawa’s theme has (probably resembling how Awano is more about the money, ladies etc) but aside from the weirdly soft amd elegant touch, there’s also shades of fury as well probably meaning that Awano is still a powerful lieutenant of the Dojima Family.

Yakuza 5 is my favorite game of all time. Part of that reason is that it has my favorite OST of all time. Battle for Victory Road is the best street encounter theme in the series, all the bossfight themes are peak, the jazz in the bars is gorgeous, and each protag's main theme makes me not mind the insane encounter rate nearly as much
