@@Honest-King the objective was win by deck out. However, all the other guy had to do was pass turn as Lulu and Virtual World Gate Chuche retrieved cards from the banished zone and then 2P would deck out.

The other hard counter to Inferno Tempest: Running more than 40 cards in your deck.

@@SoulHero7 that wont be useful on its own, you also need to run specifically more than 20 spells/traps. Inferno Tempest will banish all monsters, then triple Necroface + VW Nyannyan mills another 20. If youre running a monster heavy stack with very little spells and traps, you wont survive Necroface either. Having more than 20 spells and/or traps is one of the way to stop Tempest without needing to negate it Ofc if you already milled your own deck yourself, the greater the risk to get deckout loss as well even if you run more than 20 spells and traps Source: im the Inferno Tempest player and im glad monsters are so relevant nowadays

Basically his opponent tried to Deck Out with the classic Inferno Tempest and 3 Necroface banish but neglected to read the fine print of what Virtual World Chuche does, which was active the entire time it was on. This is also why D D Dynamite was invented (300 Damage/card banished)

I remember playing really weirdly against that banish deck. And they kept attacking my strong monsters(which where their kaijus) with 0 ATK monster. I had forbidden droplet the whole time, several times, so I sacrificed their given kaijus to weaken their kaijus, not fully understanding why they would attack like that. the third time they did it, I remembered Inferno and my eyes widened really wide. I was like OH THAT'S WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO DO later they had to set inferno, but I destroyed it and they surrendered. it was really funny. sad I couldn't saved that duel.

Did you know that amazement is able to defeat blue eyes chaos max dragon? All you need to do is get both either comica or buffo out, and rapid racing. Once thats up, activate rapid racing and equip it to a monster, use comica or buffos effect to swap the trap to chaos (that effect doesnt target the monster, only the trap)

I'm an "old" YugiOh player. Could somebody ELI5 what the heck just happened? How did both player's decks get banished to the shadow realm in one sweep? I couldn't read the stuff on the opponent's side (it's all inverted). I only managed to read how VIrtual World Gate Chuche works so I kinda get how he can survive No-Draw phase before the opponent surrendered.

It's due to the magic card inferno tempest effect, whenever you suffer battle damage >3k you can activate this card to banish all Monster card from the deck in to GY & also whenever necroface is banished, you can banish 5cards from both players deck and people always put 3 of it to banish up to 15cards so asssuming both player have standard 40deck card so you can easily deck out your opponent with this combo

With Inferno Tempest if you take 3000 or more damage you can remove all monsters in the deck and gy from play then when Necroface is banished you can remove five more cards and with three that makes 15 cards removed in total

It's a really old combo from 2007. Inferno Tempest is even from 2004. You just summon a big monster to your opponent like Lava Golem or Grinder Golem back in the day, so it doesn't matter how big your opponents monsters are. The deck is very easy to counter and needs to get pretty lucky drawing all the combo pieces though.

I got hit by inferno tempest against my tri-brigade deck. I had revolt on the field to summon even though they were banished. But I didn't even use it. He used raigeki against my current monsters but I had lunalight leo dancer on the field and it couldn't be destroyed by card effects. I just strictly used her to attack him twice per turn and win the game.
