@@JPARnum1 When people say "I would rather play against floodgates" what they're thinking in their head is "I would rather play around TCBOU or Gozen Match or Rivalry or maybe even a Macro Cosmos than a board with 4+ omni negates" but a board with 4+ omni negates is functionally equivalent to Skill Drain + Mind Drain + Soul Drain + Imperial Order + Royal Decree. They're never comparing apples to apples. With the exception of bad decks getting completely shut down by a particular floodgate, an omni negate and a single floodgate have roughly the same amount of power, omni negates' only slightly weaker in that are that they're usually on something that can be Kaiju'd and also they can be beat by spell speed 4 so some (not all) board breakers will beat them. You're probably doing the same thing in your head, thinking about how you'd prefer to play through 1 or 2 floodgates than 4+ omni negates and thinking that's roughly equivalent when it's not. I mean you kind of recognize this with the way you worded your comment but if you had a deep think about it you'd probably stop thinking of yourself as "one of those people that prefers to play against floodgates"

@@drewbabe all I'm saying is that both omninegates and floodgates are a cancer to the game but people only seem to complain about floodgates. with omninegates it's always just draw the out, it's your fault for not running handtraps, kaiju, dark ruler, etc. but for floodgates it's I can't hurt my consistency by running backrow removal I need to be able to put a full negate board first turn.

"Unbreakable Board" is something u hear quite often and u can beat it easily. But this is literally impossible, if u dont interupt with Nibiru or other handtraps at the start. The fact that even Kaijus would be worthless is quite impressing.

You would need to play and have exactly exodia on your next draw to win from that. Either that or stop it somehow with interruption or floodgates or already have a monster good enough to break the board on the field.

If there are cards that either banishes or puts opponent monsters to GY rather than Tribute (e.g. Sophia, Underworld Goddess) but on opponent's field. Other way would be if there are cards with continuous effect on hand, GY, or banished

Is there a decklist for this somewhere? I may want to try it out if halq and carrier ever come off the ban list. Looks a lot more fun than my vanity's fiend/rivalry/there can only be one/solemn judgement/runick lock that's i'm using. Also, why not use vanity's fiend over angel 07? If they both have to be tribute summoned for their "neither player can activate monster effects" effect, doesn't 1 tribute make more sense than 2? Or does the 2nd tribute matter to make room on the board? Or is there something else i'm missing?

Don't know if my comment was deleted due to there being a link in it but here is a decklist not using Halq or Carrier: 1-5-card-full-board-lock-319396 on ygo pro deck. I jammed the lock into my chain material + fusion Gate FTK deck and changed the damage engine for the "the Dark Magicians" draw loop so it might take a while to draw with this loop.

The only ways to play around this I can think of (and I have a pretty deep knowledge on the pool of cards) is to draw something dumb like Exodia or somehow burn the opponent to death with hand traps like Firecracker. Well done.

Angel 07 prevents tributing. You would need a "send everything" but the only monsters that do that as far as I know require your opponent to have linked like 10+ times, you already have a light machine in GY, or your opponent's field be zombie monsters.

You can't activate spells so pendulums are out. As far as I am aware there is no monster that summons straight to the EMZ for free. The Code Talker monsters have a way to rank up from hand but you need a monster on field already to do that.
