I am an average-looking guy making 6 figures for that 10-15 years. I can't tell you how many of these average to above-average women wouldn't give me the time of day. So, my experience was only a little bit on the apps while I was on a short vacation, never met up with any of these women, but in Budapest and Bratislava I matched with women that looked like supermodels. The guy's gotta be thinking, "WTF? Aren't I enough male attention to satisfy hou. What are you, in high school?" As that guy: I've been called a jerk countless times, for giving the ladies what they want, and being nice and respectful as I did it. Why? Well because like you said, they didnt get to keep me. I told them going in, was always honest, and that never mattered. To them the word "jerk" doesnt mean "rude or selfish" it means "he didnt chose me". Why would I settle? I literally could have dated any of them. I treated them exactly how they treat the average guy, and that made me a "jerk". Classic projection. As I hit my 40s, I found one that I would have been cool with dating for the rest of my life. One. Not because she was the hottest, she was just attractive enough, to keep my interest, without me feeling she could do better. Didnt matter, after 7 years she was out the door. So, now that I'm 50, I've given up. There ultimately is no point in any of it. Weeks of work, for minutes of fun. I'd rather play Rust. (anyone who has ever played Rust knows exactly how much of a burn that is.)

@@olliefoxx7165 Those are the laws in most western countries. As a man you legally have to provide for your spouse even if she has her own income. Denying her a cut of your income is illegal. This is the reason for the existence of things like alimony in the first place. Even after your wife voluntarily leaves you, against your will, and kicks you out of your house that you paid for in full, you are still legally obliged to provide for her. So yes we do live in a dystopia for men. "giving her whatever she wants" isnt controlling her finances. Youre literally saying you will have no control over your or her finances because you have to buy your wife whatever she wants and you dont get to say no. Thats literally less control than having your own seperate incomes. At least if you have your seperate income which your wife gets half of, you will have 1 half to spend for yourself.

The pandemic has ruined meeting people out in person. I went to a few happy hours in a very happening town. A bunch of bars within walking distance. Expensive homes and apartments all around. There are a lot of office buildings near by. Happy hour used to be a goldmine. I realized there were a bunch of single guys sitting around the bars just like me. I don’t think the office crowd is going back to in person. So what happens from here? Maybe some more women will turn to apps but they will quickly get dragged into the swiping mentality. I’m really at a loss.

If she is this bad now, imagine her mindset in 20-30 years. Worse still imagine being locked in a marriage with her. This is what I think a lot of guys take into consideration when vetting women is their current attitude which usually goes from bad to worse as time goes on when the looks fade and are you are left with is essentially a lifeless husk that does its best to replace its own life force with your own. Kinda like a dementor from the Harry Potter universe, but a whole lot more annoying.
