People talk about 3 against 2 and 2 against 3 but when it actually happens to your family it's a radical thing. In 1975 my oldest sister came home from college with the Gospel. It was at the tail end of the Jesus movement. Well, a few of us siblings got saved, radically saved, while my parents resisted it. It began a long period of conflict within the family. We had always been close so we struggled to be a family but it was difficult. Bottom line is that the Lord has accomplished wonderful things through us. One of my sisters is a missionary and spent 17 years in Kenya. She and her husband built a Bible school and trained many nationals to be pastors and resulted in the planting of over a thousand churches all around Africa. But the whole thing cost us as a family so that now none of us speak to each other. I haven't had any contact with my family since 2012. But I know that some day in eternity we will sit down together and we will rejoice and we will be known as one of the great families in the kingdom of heaven. Because we serve an awesome Savior.
