I was living in Maine years ago when it first came out, and it wasn't that bad. The combo meal for it at that time which was about $8, included a wild Maine blueberry pie and a wild Maine blueberry shake- it wasn't bad at all. Last year when I made a visit to Boston, there was a Mcdonald's in the train station and I had it again (just the lobster roll) and it wasn't bad. I've had some at other places that were as dry as can be because the lobster was either overcooked, no mayo on the lobster, or the mayo dried out while in the fridge. Some places also make it by using a lobster over 2 1/2 lbs and these always have tough meat too.
