I have zero issues with a girl having kids, I have issues with them lying about it. Any single mom I've dated, the situation was like this: Her: "I have kids." Me: "Kay, let's all meet." Her: "... wait what? You wanna meet the kids right away?" Me: "If your kids don't like me, there is ZERO point in continuing to date." Her: "... that's true.: Me: "Okay kids! I'm your new dad till further notice!" Her: "What's going on!?" Me: "This is what you wanted right?" Her: "... I mean, it isn't not what I wanted..." Me: "Okay then."

But at the same time, we dont want every dude we meet to meet our kids. This is the Catch 22 of dating as a single parent. This is how the interaction goes with me, too. I immediately mention I have kids because Ive learned that society hates single mothers so i let them know beforehand so they can walk away. If they don't then this particular thing comes up.

For me usually when it comes to dating I've already read their profile or whatever back when I use dating sites, And at this point I'd like to hope that kids would come up because if they don't I would already see that as a sign of deception. I do understand reasons for a lack of trust with guy's meeting kids so quickly, But that's part of why usually on 1st meeting It would be in a public place like a Park or something where the mother would feel most comfortable obviously. I've actually never had a situation where I've dated a single mom where I haven't met the kid within the 1st week or 2. With my accent particular, She was mostly an exception because I used to work with her, But the day after we met outside of work was the same day I met both of Her kids, It was as I was on my way out of her house and they were on their way back in from school. The girl I dated before that had 2 daughters and one of them didn't like Me Too Much so I ended the relationship, She was 5 and had just started going through the break up between her mom and her dad so me coming into the picture wasn't exactly very good for her. But her 10 year old sister and I were is were quickly on great terms, And because of that I feel really bad about having to leave that relationship. Nothing is harder on me than how I imagine the kids must feel from a break up.. In saying that and due to my past relationships not working out I've essentially given up on dating entirely.. Kobe especially showed me that when it comes to building an Empire or working together it's mostly a one way street... When I got depressed because I lost my job in my livelihood my ex wasn't there for me, And she even kicks me out of the house because I wasn't working..
