I've never been interested to talk/ think about religions and castes.. but this video irritates me and makes me think that Brahmins are way better in their intentions, thoughts and actions than how others perceive our actions and get offended unwantedly. For instance, we don't eat from one another's plate, regardless of your caste/gender/age/relationship/food habits. You are offended, just because you do not know that your friend wouldn't eat from his own family member's plate either. There are many hygiene practices followed in the community, due to which, especially the elderly people can't withstand a person (be it their own grand child) biting/eating a fruit or a snack and not washing the hands immediately (even if it is not sticky). Honestly, it is quite hard for me to explain it all here, as you could still mistake my words and take it offensively. Only if you watch closely and try to understand or get to know the practises you might stop getting offended. If a person deliberately puts someone down or insults someone, then it is wrong, regardless of his caste/community, be it Vikals Vikram also.

Singling out and targeting them is going unabatted for atleast 5 generations. No roads/streets/statues named after freedom fighters that happened to be from the Brahmin community. Even freedom movement in Tamil Nadu is largely obscurred as Dravidian polity feels it would end up highlighting the Brahmin participation. Even the Nobel laureates from TN are obscurred (all from this particular community). Most of the Iyers as a result have moved out of the state.
