I have kind of an interesting connection to this. One of my great-uncles was a missile loader in WWII where he mostly lifted with his right arm and shoulder. As a result, his right side was solid muscle and his left was not so well developed. He wound up with a severe curve of his spine and constant pain - and was granted 100% disability upon release from service. About six months later, his body had returned to normal now that he was no longer only using his right side. The Navy tried to bring him back on active duty and stop his disability payments. My uncle declined and continued to collect until he passed away in the later 80's...
