Man, I wish I had vids of my Bassett from the 1970s. He used to run across our acre of land like a fireball; he and the German shepherd in the adjoining yard wore grooves in the ground along the fences where they used to run back and forth all day. The cute little Bassett in this vid looks like it will be an energetic dog too

That's funny, BUT only because it is obvious that you never were on the end of a leash with a Basset Hound in the woods. When you get tired of the tugging, you let him loose to roam freely, and you end up on a cross country trek trying desperately to keep that white tip of the tail in sight.

Well my Bassett energy level peaked at about 10 seconds, but I had 1 that when we moved out of our apt into a house was zooming back and forth in the back yard for about 5 minutes. About 80ft each way.

My dog is half basset and half beagle. He's got the body of a basset and the ears of a beagle. I love the combination and he definitely has the nose of both breeds. Blossom is adorable ❤❤❤ She has to grow into her ears 🥰

Your Blossom is so beautiful. My wife got me a mixed breed small hound puppy that someone told her was a beagle 26 years ago. He was not, but I would take nothing in place of him.
