For anyone who's confused, I think in America and a lot of countries the door automatically locks after you close it from the outside. I live in Canada, and we have to physically lock the door with the keys from the outside, so I guess it's different in different places :D

Doors in America don't automatically lock we just have to locks. The deadlock that physically moves into the doorframe (You can't lock this from the outside without a key) and another lock that's only on the doorknob. This one you can lock from the outside without a key it's kind of confusing

For everyone wondering how the door could be possibly locked from the outside without keys: there is a type of deadbolt - a lockable turntumb - that when left as is, will always automatically lock the door behind you. The one at my house is kinda similar to what we see at 4:12. The only way to unlock it is either manually from the inside or with a key from the outside but once you take your hand off or take your key out, it automatically reverts back to a locked position (if your door is open but you've already released the lock back on, you can still just simply close the door without any issue). This is when the turntumb comes into play: by switching its position (from the inside) it will keep the door unlocked until you decide to click it back into a lock.

As a person that has lemon trees it bugs me so fucking much when people just take our lemons (they're at the side of my house/front yard). Like what the hell, especially when they make a mess of leaves by ripping them off. Just recently I had someone ask for lemons and I said sure because he just wanted a couple. Theeen I hear the sound of my tree shaking and snapping. Lo and behold I look out my window to find the guy who asked and his wife (who was hiding when he asked) filling up two bags of lemon, they were going super fast and were jut pulling them off sending leaves and other lemon flying ! I mean they literally hid the second person, the bags, and their car in the alley next to my house so they could do this! aaaand when my brother went out to confront them they said "we have a lot of lemons". The rudness of people makes me so mad.

I think with this series bf isn't building it off of gender roles; rather, they're showing the kind of barrier between the two sexes when they're with each other in a closer way. For example, if both roommates were girls (or both were boys) they would act pretty different. There aren't really gender "roles" that are prevalently shown anywhere in this series--just the interactions between two people of the opposite sex

Well some people have doors that have knobs which have a keyhole on the outside and lock from the inside. So to lock the house they turn the lock and then they go outside the house and then you close it from behind. So to open the door you can only open it from the outside with a key
