As someone who’s taken hundreds of Polaroids with the Now+, those example pictures were cleary taken by an inexperienced photographer who has not been taught how to properly take pictures with the Polaroid Now. You must know how to use the correct aperture and shutter speed, combined with correct positioning according of where the sun is and how bright it is, then it can produce some spectacular photos. I suggest watching a few tutorials and practicing more (especially with manual mode in the Polaroid app) and your pictures will improve significantly :)

@@dr_mysterious0166 Polaroid is largely possible because of chemicals, and over time, they wear and degrade. So refrigerating it basically preserves the chemicals in better condition for when you take the picture. I usually keep my film refrigerated before using it, and I'll refrigerate the complete photo for about a week. You can easily get away with only 2-3 days, I just like to be safe. After that, you should be pretty much guaranteed to avoid damage to the photo.

@@ipodhty it's kind of a long story but the Instax cameras are miniaturized versions does the Kodak in the instant cameras Polaroid sued Kodak over. Kodak was ordered not to make any more cameras like that. But at the same time they gave their knowledge to Fuji Fuji at a deal with Polaroid to only sell their instant cameras in Japan. Kodak thought they would get around the patent infringement by having by rearranging the film layer. The Polaroid cameras have the bulky shape because they require a mirror for the image to come out in the correct orientation. The Kodak and instax cameras do not have a mirror

The entire point of Instant photography means one shot to get it right which is nearly impossible. Good bad and the ugly you have to live with the results imperfections and all, which is part of the charm. The vintage dreamy imperfectness of the image is the art form and not the manipulated sterile perfection of digital.

If you needed this video then you don’t understand instant photography. If you want HD photos, use your smartphone or a good digital camera. If you want a vintage look to the photos and the harsh reality that the photo you just took is the ONLY one on Earth and you cannot simply print another one, get an instant camera. DO NOT get an instant camera if excellent image quality is what you want. Instant photography is for art, not for saving an HD historical record.

instax is better. new poloroid is rebraded impossible project and the original polaroid chemistry is lost to time. instax is a licensed version of kodak integral film chemistry from the 80s. more latitude less detail loss in hilights and shadows if you can get one where you can adjust exposure. mini is like 60 cents a shot with the 100 pack. and lasts a lot longer and is less affected by temperature and humidity.
@areallyrealisticguyd4333
@areallyrealisticguyd4333 Жыл бұрын
Instax actually has less latitude than Polaroid. Both are great formats but what it comes down to is what camera you use to get the most out of each film. For Polaroid it's SX-70 cameras and for Instax probably a custom 3D printed camera or a 4x5 camera using the Lomograflok
