13:00 By this time on the minimap (or even already at 12:55?), it looks like OP might be coming for your expo (which makes sense as a target since they're up on bases). So to retreat only at 13:13 was maybe a bit slow? It looks like it cost a grunt and a peon and resulted in a worse initial engagement. Incidentally, this might also be a decent test case for the Witch Doctor experiment: in this situation the sentry ward could've paid for itself and then some, though that might not be good enough against someone with better eco.

I feel like that fight at his goblin shop around 9.30 mark is where the game was lost. He had a few archers and dryads on low health that maybe you should have been able to kill before the TP, and because he had an expo by then (unknown by you at this point) you really had to press that advantage then. Seems like you traded pretty evenly in that fight, a couple of raiders and a grunt died. I think you would have played with more urgency here if you knew about the expo. Sometimes all it takes to beat a better player is to have your expo go unscouted for 1 minute. Maybe could have pushed over 50 food a little earlier too, for that fight at his expo. Seems like your atittude this whole game was : "it's ok this guy is no problem, small losses." lol. I was thinking the other day that once you take workers out of the equation, 60 food is 30% more army than 50 food. That tanky panda wrought havoc, he was very good at keeping his dryads behind it. Blade seemed hurt and unable to fight a lot of the game, better items might have helped.

I noticed too the blade had a lot of mana on it at the end of some of the fights. Perhaps 1 or 2 windwalks or another mirror image could have made a difference. Grubby seems to like his fights be as drawn out as possible and I noticed this seems to favor the elf with his moonwells because he kept picking things off eventually via entangle. Notices, just noticing.

I think as well that the game turned at the goblin shop. He patiently waited on top of the hill just to save time. But there was no chance to do more dmg. He always had the option to tp to save harbour into his base. Unfortunately the expo was scouted too late. Not sure how much gold was mined until Grubby found it. I think the fight at the expo as well was not bad for Grubby. But the NE could easily refill the losses. From there on each fight went worse especially due to panda aoe and kotg picking up unit by unit with entangle. From this point on there was no chance any more no base harassing, no sneaky expo etc. I personally prefer shamans over walkers against KotG. Against bears walkers don't make too much of a difference. In the end it's essential how long your grunts can hold their ground and how many kodos are able to eat bears and survive. I'm not sure if there was a possibility to hero chase KotG - but probably not. A little bit unlucky game, though early was pretty good. NE don't care. Just APs and expo. Maybe biggest mistake was after that AP skirmish that Grubby was unaware what NE was doing and he gave NE time to expo. That's a pretty common strategy by Moon as well. Try a semi push with APs. If it's not successful just expo.

You have to retreat every time the shadow hunter is out of mana. You had opportunities to buy clarity pots when you didn't. For example, when you went to attack his expo (and you were next to your lounge), your SH was holding mana pot, but you didn't stock up on clarity POTs. IMO this could have won the game. Mass snakes and more healing
