The more I think about it, the more I agree with my opinion that you need to play 2 old-ish games: Stronghold HD: This will make you cry with frustration and rage. A bit similar to this game, and quite cheap. Multiple campaigns, I think. A combat one and a more economically focused one. In both, you have to build a fortress on each level and keep the disposition of your citizens quite high. You have to manage food stocks and materials to prepare yourself for the goals of each mission. OpenTTD: It's a free transport tycoon game where you can manage buses, cars, trains, boats and even planes to transport goods or people to places in an auto-generated world to gain profit. If you like marveling at beautifully laid out railways then this is for you. If you have played these, perfect! If not, I'd like to see what you think of them.

Hey Matt, you're thronefall series actually encouraged me to get the game, and I made it to the final level, so I have some advice for you 1. use the bow (the blood wand is pretty bad 2. make every tower a balista tower 3. prioritize units 4. make sure to upgrade walls 5. focus on economy, and defense at the same time

COnstantly blows me away that Matt is pretty decent at logistics...but has no skill whatsoever in tactics. Those two almost always have overlap, the best tacticians in history were logisticians too, military commanders succeed based on logistics. But Matt is like "Defenses? Nah, shrines that can't do anything, multiple of them at a time!"
