My family is from Jamaica. Im an extreme case but parents need to be careful. There was money for the church and money for other people's children. Even gifts I was given didn't last that ling in my hands. It taught me that I was of no value.I will spend time and money on other people but not on myself. It has taken me a long time to get through this and its an ongoing project! We need to break this cycle! It is not healthy for any of us!

You know I was about to share something similar & then decided not to until I read yours. For me my dad kept telling me he put my money in the bank. I believed him. All those years I was convinced that I have a bank account full of money. When I was in my early twenties, I asked for the card. He told me that it was lost. So I being determined to go see my money and maybe get it went to the bank (different branches every time) to ask for my money. I was told at each attempt (about 5 times) that there was an account for me but it was empty. Eventually it clicked that he never did put the money there, or he did but eventually used it. Even in my twenties this made me very sad 😞 and heartbroken 💔. So yes parents be careful!

And it shows your child you are not ENTITLED TO JUST GIVE THEM AND ONLY THEM BCUZ THEY ARE YOUR CHILD. A lot of kids get Jelious if u give another family member or child money or a gift. My eldest is like this from a yg age. She was like I CAN ONLY GIVE TO HER. I have a lot of nieces & nephews . I have 22 total now but there was 6 plus my child all born the same yr. they are all very close and close in age. My child had to be first in EVERYTHING!! Very Jelious of her cousins. Some kids are just spoiled and want to be even more spoiled!! I’ve spoiled all 3 of mine I treat them all equally!!! But the oldest is still like this to this very day!! And she is 31!! It’s my hard earned money and if I want to give (I’m a giver) then I will. My other two are like me she is but not as much😂 especially when giving of gifts and especially money!! It’s all love tho. I hope u get what I mean. I’m TRULY A NICE PERSON AND TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY , I’ve worked with the homeless since 2004& b4 that really. A just love to help all man kind! Love&Light 🙏🏽💙🦋🇨🇦

@@tonyasmithe both, then do it to your kids. It helps their development in one way or another. Could be a lesson in contentment and how unfair life can be. But believe it or not, she'll make it up to her kid afterwards. Even if it's just to add one extra meat in their plates. Why do you think African kids love their mom's so much?
@tonyasmithe4 жыл бұрын
@@EsssyD I refuse to treat my kids this kind of way. The way I was brought up in Jamaica some things I will not introduce to my child. My kids will develop low self esteem. Somethings our parents did when we was growing up , it can make us and break us. This is in this video is no lesson to be learn or no discipline to walk away with. This lesson to me is that they choose strangers over their own child . Also, this will allow the child to steal next time or start beg people for money because their parents won’t give them. That’s what I get from this video. And the excitement of how she welcome her guest while she push away her child to go one side. The child will develop that she don’t love her. I have seen and been through a lot while was much younger and I look into things deeply. But no I will not behave this way with my child .
