Happy New Year, Shannon! I'm so glad to hear you got to spend time with other knitters and unwind while working on new projects. It's wonderful to knit for family members who truly appreciate wearing the garments and understand the time and love that goes into making them.

My husband definitely understands what goes into making a garment, he appreciates every stitch too. I’m truly blessed

I'm glad you had a great visit with your friends. I am still on the first repeat of the cowl. Want to see how much yarn chicken I will be playing with the 6 gram minis but the opal sock yarn has been calling to me. The pattern the yarn is making is amazing. Is the heel flap always half the number of cast on stitches? That seems to be the case on the 3 patterns I have looked at. Have a few rows yet before starting the flap. Wow starting 12 projects all at once seems a bit daunting. I might have to order more of the aberdeen mystery bags to see if I can get more sock wool. Maybe I will get some verigated to go with the solids from the first set. Hope you are staying warm with all the snow we got overnight.

Yes, my experience is the heal flap is half your stitches. You are really moving along on your cowl. I haven’t started 12 projects this year but I’m pushing for it.

I have been good on my goal of finish 2 start 1 minimum on my WIPs. I'm getting overwhelmed with how many I have going. Though I think I've finished 4 in the last month. Also I need to rescue some needles and cables from projects to get going on some other big projects for the year.
@anotheryarn17 күн бұрын
That is the best part about finishing up projects, you regain a whole stash of tools. I’m looking forward to that part.

I’m both happy and sad I didn’t know about the 12 cast ons (crochet counts too). I really could have gotten myself into a lot of trouble there.
