There is no such thing as a purely gifted artist-you must put in long hours of effort to master your craft. Even athletes train relentlessly to achieve excellence. As the Scriptures say, “The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong... but time and chance happen to them all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) True success comes through diligence, perseverance, and seizing the opportunities given by God.

1. Solomon’s Disobedience: Foreign Wives and Idolatry
1 Kings 11:1-2 - "But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites-from the nations of whom the Lord had said to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods.’ Solomon clung to these in love."
🔹 God had explicitly commanded Israel not to intermarry with pagan nations (Deuteronomy 7:3-4), yet Solomon ignored this and married many foreign women.
2. Solomon’s Heart Turned Away from God
1 Kings 11:4 - "For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David."
🔹 Despite his wisdom, Solomon allowed his wives to lead him into idolatry, worshiping false gods instead of staying faithful to the one true God.
. As seen in the Testament of Solomon, there are two types of wisdom-godly and earthly. One leads to righteousness and life, while the other, when misused, leads to downfall. Choose wisely.

2. Characteristics of Each Wisdom
Earthly Wisdom:
Focuses on self-interest, pride, and temporary gain.
Leads to envy, strife, and confusion.
Can be deceptive and lead people away from God.
James 3:16 - "For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there."
Godly Wisdom:
Produces humility, peace, and righteousness.
Seeks God’s will above personal gain.
Leads to eternal rewards and true understanding.
James 3:17 - "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy."
3. Example of Earthly vs. Godly Wisdom in the Bible
Solomon’s Early Wisdom (Godly):
Solomon asked God for wisdom to lead His people, and God granted him unmatched wisdom.
1 Kings 3:9 - "Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil."
Solomon’s Later Wisdom (Earthly):
Despite his wisdom, Solomon turned to earthly desires, married foreign wives, and worshipped idols, leading to his downfall.
1 Kings 11:4 - "For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David."
4. Ultimate Fate of Each Wisdom
Earthly Wisdom: Leads to destruction, vanity, and separation from God.
Ecclesiastes 1:14 - "I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind."
Godly Wisdom: Leads to eternal life, righteousness, and blessings.
Proverbs 3:13-14 - "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; for her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold."
