Trick for deep hooked gills: slide the long end of a slip bobber down their mouth, pull the line tight and pinch the line to the bobber. Holding the bobber, spin the fish and hook and all come right out. Guaranteed.

Go to clear H20 and buy a cold snap toothpick hook remover for those gills us ice fishermen use them there cheap and work great
